But when you open a thread.....................

You then loose the inner right hand side one, all very annoying and slow, not to mention it keeps wanting to re-boot saying there is a problem, reloading to site....

I get all that on my iPad but not crashing.

Have you tried deleting your cookies? Then sign in again.
I had a similar problem a few weeks ago and that sorted it for me.
Certainly worth a try?

Yeah!

No idea how to do it!...but OH deleted the cookies on our iPad .
It seemed to do the trick once I signed back in. Unless Admin had done something at the same time as they were aware of my problem....
Hopefully someone more experienced than me can explain how to do it please on the iPad ?????

Try turning to portrait, that cuts out side ads.

Which browser are you using?

Safari Danny! Same as yourself

I can get rid of the ads easily by double tapping the centre of the screen, that's not a problem, it's the occasional trying to reboot with the error message that's annoying!
