have never heard of anything so barmy
but then again would not put it past the idiots in charge in brussels.

the plans for sleeping after night shift have gone out the window, nice new neighbours decide that today is the day that they decide to bangs on every wall with saucepans. well sounds like it anyway. off to the plot to get some peace and quiet. may try to have a snooze in my shed. have old armchair in there that i rescued from someone whilst waiting in the queue for the local tip.

      Carpets

Don't think she'd been drinking - but who knows?? She was serious, though after she'd said it, she did say she should have pretended not to see. One of the disadvantages of having a conveinient plot near the gate, office, toilet, etc. You get observed. If we had one of the lonely ones up at the back near the railway line, we could have side to side fitted carpets and no-one would ever know!

I'm going to hide them upside down behind the biggest potato plants and hope for the best! [Don't think there is a right way to do this!]

OH has gone up to Wales for the weekend in order to bang some dysfunctional family heads together.

So its me, the kids and the dogs. And a cat. Which actually means me and animals only as bought kids ipods last week for good school report reward and havent heard a peep from them since - just that tinny 'boom boom' noise and the odd tuneless bit of singing!!

Have wandered down the garden to see what's keeled over today. No plans to work in it though as last weekend was a shocker.

Dad and stepmum over this evening for dinner. Tomorrow is a clean slate with no plans which is actually quite exciting.

Oooh exciting!! OH 'gave in' to dog number 3 a few weeks ago - amazingly easy really based on the amount he's spent on little toy soldiers recently.

She's as mad as a box of frogs and has taken my mind off the fact that my grow your owning is descending into farce thanks to a combination of ineptitude and weather!!

Have you thought about getting one the same colour and convincing him he's seeing double??

today we are going camping, in a field in Haddiscoe (Suffolk). My OH and his little girl have never done it before, so should be hilarious. Pitching a tent for the first time in this wind! I've told him the golden rule: you can't open the beer until the tent is up. No ifs no buts

That's a brilliant idea!! Gotta try that - been wanting another dog for ages...! And he has been downing one too many recently, might be able to kill 2 birds with 1 stone??!!

Plan A. Clean the house and pack. Then go out to dinner.
Plan B. Go on a mini break in a posh hotel until YThursday.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,

                1/3 bottle gone.
Ok today: cut grass, cut edges, finished quail house.Picked 3 kg of rasps, made jam.
Looked at forecast tomorrow 1mm rain 4pm....

                Decisions:
Do I drink rest of whisky tonight and be ill tomorrow
or save some for the rain
                or

                ...

                Decision: another 1/3 tonight..
                Run tomorrow. Clean house..

came down to my sisters in hastings last night (using her computer right now!)
have spent the whole day working with her hubby
we've broken up and shifted about a ton of concrete, half a ton of ballast and cement plus concrete fence posts and wooden panels, put up her new fence, done some concreting .... and i ache all over ....
we've got about 5 carloads of rubble and stuff to take to the dump in the morning .....

Plan A - whatever the weather - Saturday was the village show and I was 'personning' the Brtiain In Bloom stall. Won some prizes too!

Sunday -Plan A - cut hedge, got to tip, cut grass - general garden tidy.
Plan B - if raining - collect more goosegobs and make 'stuff' with them.

Stuck in a hotel room at the moment, been working away all weekend, in fact away until Friday so wondering what's going on at allotment.

Luckily we're having some rain (never guessed I would be saying that this year) so watering not a problem.

First time I have not been to the allotment for more than a week so wondering whether I will notice some big changes, as seeing is every couple of days you dont notice things as much.

I guess the weeds are having parties in my absence :S

No gardening this weekend - Oxfam Trailwalker on Saturday! I'm in a team of 4 and we have to start together, go through every checkpoint together and finish together.

Result: we ran/walked 100km across the South Downs in 15 hours and 3 minutes.
Sunday: recovery day. My legs work, but stairs are a challenge.
Monday: must hassle workmates for sponsor money!

Half bottle gone this am. Bought more tonic. Raining hard. At least bottle drains away:-)
Ran 3 miles, Cooked lunch , cleaned house.

Disamantling pallets.. stopped now as can't access one car in garage for pallet wood and the pallets are soaking.

Fell asleep on sofa for an hour.

Not drinking so far today: forgot wedding anniversary is today. OH forgave me as I remembered her birthday which was Friday.

Tried yesterday's rasp jam. Although I say it myself it is delicious.

Can't pick any more rasps due to rain. (although we are on course to have a record crop)

Plan B on Saturday even tho it wasnt raining.

Was about to get ready to go to a christening on Sunday - stretched my arms above my head and ping!

pulled a muscle in my left shoulder and neck - spent Sunday and most of today lying prone in bed not able to move! Bugger!

Getting easier now - so will get OH to drive me to work tomorrow! Problem is, the christening was my mate (and boss!) his youngest son.

                              Guess I'm getting old!

PS Has anyone any good remedies for a frozen shoulder? Much appreciated! DDL

No lottie for me for a few days then.
