Can I ask a silly question please. Often when I'm reading a post on a particular thread, I find I have a related question to ask. Should I open a new thread or can I ask it on the same thread. For example I have just read the posts about rhubarb and I have a question I would like to ask about rhubarb. Should I start a new thread or can I ask it on the same one. Thanks. Sorry if this is a silly question.

It's up to you Bal, you can either ask on the thread or start a new thread. I don't think it matter that much.sigpic“Gorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,”

I would just ask away, Bal. If it's deemed inappropriate/should have its own thread then one of the fab mods on here would say soWhen weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

I think the main reason for starting a new thread is that when you use our most excellent search facility ( ) it picks up the subject matter more easily ( as would you if you are hunting back through historical threads)
For example- if you say 'ooooops' for the title then nothing is recognised...if you say 'are my seedlings frosted / overwatered' then it's much easier to find. In effect it probably is better to start a new thread unless it is exactly the same thing or very closely related, it's better not to piggyback on someone else's thread.Last edited by Nicos; 31-03-2016, 07:58 AM."Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and...
