  • Morning all, just realised I read everyone's posts and then left without saying good morning! Hope everyone is well. It's another beautiful morning this morning but unfortunately I have to take my car to Glasgow for a check up before they do recall work, then take it back another day for the actual work to be done. Not too bad as I thought I would have to go to Ayr to get the work done! Talking of IKEA, I may just pop in on the way back!

Hope you all have a lovely dentist. NS hope your manager had a nice time at the dentist!

    Hope you all hav

Just re-read the sentences above...gobbledegook! What I meant to say was:

Hope you all have a lovely day...I also of course hope you have a lovely dentist!

Flo I grew that last year and wasn't impressed so this time I've been using the seeds for micro-veg and the leaves are really tasty in a salad.

            • Car not going to the garage now. Called just as I was leaving, all their diagnostic systems are down. Going in next Wednesday so I have no excuse to go to IKEA today! Also the sun has disappeared behind some dark looking clouds.

              • Your poor wee man deserves a bravery award sticker, Trip. That sounded like a really nasty fall

Am well and truly cream crackered. Will sleep tonight. Got the pea frame done and planted out 28 mangetout. Was very hot bending over in the sun. Wish I had a really nice cold beer right now that's for sure.

At least that's made more room now in PT because next I need to focus on getting the tomatoes into some bigger pots. They look a bit pot bound. Turned out to be a nice sunny day.

LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

So thought while sun was shining, lawns as dry as they're going to be at the great rate of knots they've grown in the rain/sun - mowed both back and front!! Always looks sooo much neater!!! (well, for perhaps a day or two...!)

Hope everyone managed to make the most of this lovely weather

                    • Good afternoon Folks, its a lovely day here today some clouded but mostly sunny and tem. at 17c, I see from SPs post that house work was on the venue yesterday, it must be something in the air, as my wife decided that's what I was doing yesterday (WE e need to clean the carpet, the suit, the kitchen and oh the curtains need changed) so didn't get much done in the garden, though I did make up a trellis, which I was going to grow a clematis up but thinking I will put some French and runner beans up insted, I will think on that. Well I wish you all a pleasant evening and hope you have some time to enjoy the garden, I have thunk on it the beans are going in. Good afternoon
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

                      • Evening All Have we had a good day?
I know this isn't really funny but I did have a fit of the silent giggles today - you know the sort, where your body shakes, tears roll down your cheeks but you can't laugh aloud because you're on your own and don't want to look stupid
Standing near the exit of an electrical store, waiting for an assistant to fetch my purchase from the storeroom. All around me were stacks of gadgets with their prices displayed on freestanding "stands".
The exit doors opened and a refreshing breeze ruffled my hair.............then the price displays started to topple over. First one, then another and another..........and so on. Just made me want to giggle Nobody else even noticed
As for gardening, planted out some cosmos and Brachycome. Not much is it!
