Just watching the weather forecast and they say next week is going to be up to 28 degrees for the South. We are going down to Cheltenham to see our daughter and go to the food fair and we were hoping to have at least some dry weather. When Carol, weather lady, was talking about next week I suddenly realised we are going down to Chelts NEXT WEEK!!! We have no train or flight booked and nothing organised. Better get a move on then!

Guess what?
Sun again! Me again >
Got loads done yesterday, made a mahoosive planter but ran out of wood for the trellis bit so will have to head out to get more this morning.
Can't decide what to grow in it so I'll post a pic later on and ask you all for suggestions.
Off for a quick catch up read through whilst eating my porridge.
Have a good one!

Morning all - another bright start here with actual sunshine! Another day of errands and pottering - nice being a lady of leisure (yes, it's half term). So, plants to deliver to my hairdresser (don't ask!), compost to pick up, gifts for nephew and his fiancee (I am visiting them in Oxford over the weekend; never been Oxford before so it will be an adventure), dentist, gas man calling to measure my hole in the wall for a new gas fire, then to the allotment to plant out my cauliflowers and water the glass shed.
"We could do with a drop of rain", she whispered, worried about a torrent of abuse from other grapes who have had far too much!
Have a good day all, whatever the weather.

Wow, sunburn, Carrie. Crikey, haven't had any sun here since Sunday. Beginning to forget what it looks like
Took a trip to hospital with mum today for a checkup for her and it has taken almost all day. Missed one bus, waited 20 mins more, bus took an hour, Dr was 30 mins behind, then had to get her a blood test which we weren't expecting .... It took hours. We had enough of that malarky. So chilling for 1 hour before I have to go pick up my daughter from her school holiday club.
I am really hoping we get some sun tomorrow or at least warmer weather please. So cold and back to wearing winter stuff which seems daft. Have good day allLOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

Yes I could try a cloche, Jon. I think I will have a go because they are getting very pot bound and I don't see the point in potting them on again really. What the heck is a tromboncino, Susie!!! And yes it does sound a bit rude but better than saying pumpkins than melons LOLLOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden.
