          • Morning all. Still recovering from the quote we've been given for new bathrooms and wet rooms, though OH's insistence on NEEDING a copper slipper bath is probably about half the entire cost of the job!
Going to spend as much time at the lotty today as possible, before the threatened thunderstorms arrive.
            Have a great day everyone.

Of so, I'm going to paint the tiny bike shed as it's looking very worn out.
Got a Cuprinol cream and a lovely pale bluey/ green...hope we have enough!

              • I'm not great on breakfast. I have a cup of tea early on could be anytime between 4am and 6am then I like a coffee about 9ish and then I might eat about 11ish. Most likely to be a savoury scone, teacake or toast with jam. It's more like a brunch for me. That does me through to dinner.

It's another lovely sunny day. I shall be making the most of it. Runner beans out in flower, tomatoes getting flowers and dwarf peas. Something new to see in the garden every day. Great time of year
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

                • Morning all, another beautiful day but I think it's coming to an end. Bit of house work this morning then off to get my hair coloured.

Breakfast is usually a cup of tea and slice of toast...today it's raisin bread.

                  Have a great day all.

                  • Good morning. Hot, hot, hot already! Have been out and about before it gets unbearable, so I now have my first tom-tying badge of honour of the year, filthy fingers. Sadly, some of them have very tiny yellow spots on the leaves. Time to get the copper sulphate out, I think. We've had a few drizzly showers recently, which might account for it. Arran Pilots also not looking that great. Better eat them quickly! No hardship there. Little bit concerned about Tuta absoluta here. Apparently we have it in the region, but thus far we've not been bothered that much by it in our valley. I've already seen a few moths, however. Presumably this will be a bad year because it was such a mild winter.

Breakfast: cup of tea on getting up or if I'm lucky while I'm still in bed, then a mug of very milky coffee a bit later on. Usually hungry about 11.30 or so. Might have a small sandwich then or try and hold out till early lunch, but that depends on work.

                      • Morning all!

The sun was out, so I took the opportunity to spray the weeds in my block paving with glyphosate.

                        :-o

It's the only time I use the nasty stuff, but still I feel dirty.

Now I have to hope the thunderstorms stay away for a few hours.

I think I'll go and get a haircut before settle down to some proper weeding.

                            • Good morning, was quite hot in bed this morning had the Windows closed as there had been a wee skiff of rain last night and thought we may have thunder, once out of bed its a bit cooler, but now starting to feel a bit muggy so may get some thunder before the day is out, no children to day so might take my wife somewhere nice, enjoy the day whatever the weather

                              • Morning, well no actually its afternoon all. Went to allotment early to do some weeding and watering. Got a phone call reference a job interview. See happy thread.
So going to have to sort my wardrobe out to see if I have anything suitable for the interview. Don't think allotment clothes will impress anyone.
                                Anyway good afternoon everyone
