      • Evening folks.

Wet day here , but the clouds have cleared now so might just be able to walk the dog before tea.
Just managed to sow some purple sprouting broc, still got wallflowers to do, very wet at the moment.:

        Have a pleasant evening.

        • Good evening,

I didn't end up going to the plot. Just stayed on the couch and slept and watched season one of Ripper Street.

I hope to get down there tomorrow, even if it's raining. Need to water some plant's what is inside the greenhouse.

          • Rained on and off all day but I didn't mind as we had my daughter's birthday party - luckily an indoor venue. So the rain did me a favour and watered the plants.

Any other people been left as football widows/husbands/partners? I am sick of hearing it blare out from TV or radio all day Going to close myself off in my little office for the evening and stick some music on I think.

Anyway have a good evening all whatever you're up too
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

            • Evening all!

Lazy evening for us, we are exhausted after all our planting out!

Pizza is in the oven, fruit cider is poured and yes, Craftymarie the footy is on the TV, luckily I don't mind it

Enjoy your last few hours before the weekday grind starts again

              • Good evening Folks, it has been dull but dry here and a temp. of 15c, managed to connect up the hose and it is now fitted back onto the wall. I have also been busy emptying a large pot, 24in. diameter, I had mint growing in it, which has now been replanted into a smaller pot, the soil has been riddled to remove any roots, and returned to the large pot, I have also put some rolled up cardboard into the pot , I will be planting courgettes in the pot and I want to find out if the cardboard helps hold moisture, nothing ventured nothing gained, so will let you know how it goes. Well I wish you all a good night, again going to bed very tired, wonder if OH will be disappointed at that, and I think I will have to go and see the Doctor, my eye is constantly watering, I think there could be a bit of sawdust in it, was wearing goggles while cutting up some wood, had removed them when a gust of wind blew some dust about, then again it could be because I had to spend some money. Goodnight

                  • I don't mind the footie. Sometimes I take an interest because, you know, I do rather love the DH. Sometimes it's a good excuse to read a book in his benign company.

Sadly no downpour here. Pah. Just odd patches of drizzle, just enough to encourage the slugs without doing any decent watering! Did a drive-by of the plot, and everything looks in hand, just need to weed in the next few days before the weeds go mad. They'd actually slowed down it was so dry...

Poorly boy seems better in himself and has antibiotics, so we'll see. He's well enough for school, thankfully.

                    G'night all. Sleep well.

I've been to bed once, got up again as 'DH' (...!!!???) ruddy snoring (again.....)
Thought I'd better get up before I commit bl***y murder .......

Anyway, hope you all manage a peaceful nights sleep ..... 'Night!

                        • Poor you Vix... Have you tried raising yourself up in bed with extra pillows, that can sometimes help ..? Then there's good old olbas oil or Vick whose menthol just helps with the airways a bit ....

I'm going to try getting back into bed now as the thunderous roar of snoring seems (!) to have tailed off a little .......
                          Wish me luck 'night

                              Same here Flo.

Pilates later on for me, but really need to be a Domestic Goddess with the vac and iron beforehand.

Not quite sure why, but there's a field full of cows mooing nearby.
Tis usually when they get moved to a new field with their calves.
Funnily enough it puts a huge grin on my face....suddenly being in a new field with long lush grass must feel like us being in a room surrounded by cream cakes ( or whatever luxury edible item rocks your boat! )

It wouldn't be too bad if it came when forecast
Nice fresh morning, nothing much planned today apart from work
Son and daughter came over last night and son stayed here overnight. Just about to make him a bacon sarnie and he will be on his way back to Chesterfield
