    • My washing goes out in order from smallest to largest and hung in a certain way. I hate a messy washing line!

                  • Mornin' Flo, Morning All

An extremely WET one - been lashing it down here since yesterday afternoon, all thro' the night and no sign of it easing up ......
Be careful what you wish for ...
The road is flowing like a river .....
My poor beds look thoroughly drowned ....... poor seedlings .......

And as for Toby dog .... I opened the door to show him the rain before going out - and he backed away from it .... Ha! Sensible pooch ....

So, another cuppa first, I think, before togging up for the floods!!!

But to be honest and to put your mind at a little rest, I think you are reading a little too much into this, as it is normal protocol for management to follow this process for anyone they deem to be on long term sick leave, so really I wouldn't worry too much!

                      Evening Everyone!
Deano, only just read your post from yesterday..... Thanks, some more sound advice!!!
You're right, it's just that these two people I work with every day, you think you 'know' them, but it's totally different in your home environment - neither have been to my home before, so I think that's why it feels kind of weird, too.

                      • Rary, this washin-hanging-out ritual is definitely a woman thing, so we don't expect you to grasp it...!!!

When Mum was no longer mobile, Dad took over 'washing pegging out duties' - and boy did it take many, many trips to the 'whirly-gig' to ALMOST, perfect the proper pegging out of washing. Oh my word, proper uproar if the gussets weren't blowing in the right direction ....... And don't get me started on bed sheets ......

Handkerchief - young son looked at me with puzzlement when I asked him if he needed a hanky to put in his pocket when he had a cold .......

                        • Morning all, it's bright and sunny here.
Lovely start to the day, but it's not due to last. Being as I would like to visit a GC today (didn't happen yesterday), best get a wriggle on.
Crops are all doing well, just need to keep growing. The rhubarb that I picked yesterday was covered in black fly, so will have to start checking more carefully
Hubby has the slugs under control (famous last words) I don't want to know what happens to them lol
Well, have a good day everyone, rain or shine

Don't know what the plan is for today, I haven't made it up yet.
But I can promise it won't involve ironing
                              Have a good day everyone

Aah, Nicos, happy memories eh.? I, too remember being 'allowed' ironing Dad's hankies - when I'd done a good enough job of those, I was even allowed to iron Mum's more intricate embroidered, lacey hankies. I was in the Girls Brigade so the badge system was different to Brownies, but remember proudly ironing my white pair of gloves that had to be worn with the uniform when on a 'march'...
