Good morning all . We have a cold grey nd windy start to the day, temp is only 11deg. Loads of tomatoes on the plants but no sun to ripen them. Hopefully things will improve.
Have a good day all.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
Afternoon all
It's FRIDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY
and not just any FRIDAAAAAAAAAY, it's I am on holidays from work on Friday
Off to Portugal on Sunday morning don't you know....did I mention that
Busy weekend lined up first tho with treats tonight for daughter who is finished her state exams today, then lots of organizing to do in garden before we go and our horse is running tomorrow so a trip to the races is in order me thinks...
oh yea, need to pack some bags too, of course
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....
NannySally - our neighbours paved their garden and our garden suddenly became a swimming pool because all the water ran off theirs and into ours - you could see it pouring in!
We dug drainage pits down to the water table, filled with stones and gravel and top soiled back over them - we've had no problems at all since. Could be worth a try?
Everyone else - hope you're enjoying your day. We had a brief bit of sunshine and I got excited for my toms and strawbs - but its back to grey grey grey now. Looking forward to getting out in the garden this weekend either way!
Sorry about your hospital app Susie. My mum had one pushed back 3 times which she got very fed up with. Let's hope it's not too long getting you a new one.
Well it is raining again Bit of a pain this week trying to do things in the garden. Managed to get some plants repotted without getting too wet but other than that a washout.
Had a great trip to garden centre. Bought a load of new plants which were all discounted. A gorgeous dianthus charmy (love dianthus such prolific flowerers if you deadhead) which cost all of £1 Needs a bit of TLC but I'm sure it will be right as rain in no time.
Have a great day all
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

Evening all. Well its actually been dry here today. Han didn't get wet going round the Malvern Show and by the sounds of it she has had a great day.
My job interview was going well until it came to my references because my old personnel manager said he couldn't remember me or tell them anything about me. Nearly came out with a few bad words to describe him. But I didn't. So I dashed home and made a frantic phone call to another personnel manager and she agreed to do a reference for me.
So the long and the short of it is well I got the job . Just need to do a few checks on me and then I can have a start date
Thanks for all the good luck wishes everyone.
Have a good evening
