        • Evening, peeps.

          Well done, NVG.

I've managed not to get soaked for the first time this week - and even put some washing out for a few hours - hurrah!

Back from shopping and a quick turn round before going to the pub - bought a load of yellow stickered bags of shallots for 10p a knock. No idea what to do with them - can you chop and freeze them?

            • Late evening all.
Absolutely shattered after a very hectic and busy day.
Went to the cemetary this morning and raked and levelled my parents grave.
Put down the weed fabric and granite stone chippings. Washed and polished the headstone and surrounds.
Home for lunch and then wrnt to to the school to collect my grandaughter.
Gave her lunch and then drove her to basketball .
Collected her and drove her home.an hour later.
Spent the evening struggling to put extra netting to suppirt the Sweepeas that seem to be reaching for the moon.

It doesnt sound much when its written down bbut I csn assure you, its a very hectic day.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

                • Very late I know - I've been out!
Went to see a really good band that I haven't seen for a year.
They was loud, rocked the house out. Great night out
Must have rained really heavy whilst we were bopping the light fantastic, cause on the way to the bus stop I stepped in a deep puddle, wearing my bestest toe post sandals. I felt every bit of that cold puddle lol.
Got the bus to the top of our road and trod on a snug. Then I noticed the pavement had loads. Yuk
                  Night night all

                  PS well done NVG

Ya got me for a short string, BB - things to do tomorrow.

Love your floral theme - and I'd have struggled with the artist for Forget-me-nots without prompting! It lead *obvs* to this catchy number from Heywoode....

                    • Gawd - watching the vid, she's a bit scary, isn't she??

Although the theme would point to anything by the Stone Roses - that ain't happening on my watch. I'll go for a (rather tedious - but catchy hook) anthem by G 'n' R whilst I find something more in keeping.......

                      • Right. It looks like you've got a right extreme with our flower theme - from the above, to a load of soppy nonsense with flower themes. As an example...

                        • And 'tiptoe through the tulips' is not to be dignified with more than a mention.

I'm swinging round to a favourite - Jethro Tull with Jack In The Green - floral enough?

                          • Always a mistake to get me on Jethro Tull!

'Songs from the wood' is an intimate love song writ large on the live stage. 'Let me bring you love from the fields - poppies red and roses filled with summer rain' - how lovely is that!

                              • Mornin n'all! n'all!

Had a bit of a late one last night...sat out around a firepit till sillyo'clock.fr after a wonderful BBQ.
On meandering home on foot our head torches cought a small pair of eyes reflecting in the ditch.
We went to see if it was injured and it ran off along the ditch ahead of us.
It looked a bit like a 100 meter waddle Olympic event until we caught up with it and it dashed a crossed the road and off into the woods.
                                You'd never guess?
                                A very young badger!
About 18" long and 8" wide
                                Absolutely wonderful !
It's family couldn't have been far away but we only spotted that one.

Oh yes...and on our way to the BBQ we walked around a bend in the road and put up a young hare!
Probably the same one,,,or same family as the one we rescued the other day from our electric fence.

One of the perks of country living eh?

Gardening and ironing day ahead for me....

So what y'all up to this last weekend before the nights start drawing in?....

Oh ...how rude...kettle's on...anyone else for a brew or coffee?
