  • Morning all
    It's already drizzling here.
Feeding all my plants today, then doing a bit of chilli seed research (think it's better known as buying).
Very tired this morning ( seven didn't have a very good night )

Hoping for a slighty better day today, yesterday was a bit disapointing as i had to remove the last of the the Brussels as i dont want whatever is troubling them spreading around the plot. Also broke two bits of glass in the greenhouse after dropping a fence post. But lets look at a positive today, daughter will be round with the grandkids, that always makes things better.

        • Morning all, a bit dank here today so may be spending a bit of time weeding the greenhouse. Have a good one.

OH chosen to work a bit today, lost his dad early this yr so not wanting to do much, not up to a crowded crem, mil doing her own thing. Saw my dad yesterday not that he understood his Father's Day card.
Forecast rain from 3 and heavy rain all through night so "I hope " to get potatoes earthed up, some sp onions planted and beets/salads, do some potting on of pinto beans and canary creeper, rearrange staging on deck for more salads, check brassicas , toms etc. could do with doing some feeding here and then, trim edges (with OH cutting grass) and weeding ....all before 3 and a dog walk slotted in...surely doable
...all if dad is in a good mood.

            Have a good day

Ps sorry to hear about Seven SP, hope feeling bit brighter this morning.

              • I'd almost forgotten it's Father's Day

OH never really wants to celebrate it but he did get a mug of tea in bed this morning and I did the chooks and bunnies and Hibou's neck and eye whilst he was slumbering the morning away!

                SP...how is Seven today?

                  • Morning all, it's dull and cloudy, but no rain expected. So when I get off here I must do some washing
Crops are all good, still no flowers on beans though.
Will be having a something and watercress sandwich for lunch. All this rain has been perfect for watercress growing if nothing else
We are going to a local carvery early evening for a Fathers Day dinner, which I have organised as our poor daughter cannot do it.
Slept for England after the night out on the town Friday, back to normal today and I will know my limitations till the next time lol
Hope you all enjoy yourselves whatever you're up to

                    • Morning all, didn't sleep a wink last night so feeling rough this morning! Got some re-potting done yesterday but not all as I ran out of compost! Those flower buckets take loads don't they. Hanging baskets now up so hopefully we will get some flowers them. Not going to be doing much today the way I'm feeling. I wanted to wash the cr as its going into the garage on Tuesday (don't like handing over a dirty car) and it's meant to rain tomorrow. May be a visit to the car washer guys.

SP...how is Seven this morning, hope he is better.

                      Have a great day everyone.

                      • Good morning all and the weather has taken a turn for the worst after a lovely day yesterdat.
The sky is as grey as lead and its lashing heavy rain.
Off to the cemetary this midday for the annual mass and blessing of the graves.
Miserable enough but the weather will certainly put the tin hat on it.
Daughter and grandkids visiting in the afternoon for fathers day.
Unfortunately son is away so wont get to see him or the other grandkids.
                        Have a good day all.

                          • Morning all. Had a busy few days with one thing or another and haven't really been too talkative as a result.

Finally had a few hours yesterday with no rain and some sun so managed to get stuff done in the garden. Feel better for it tbh, there's something about being with plants that is just very positive. I wonder if I was one in a previous life.

I think I've missed quite a lot so I'll just send kind thoughts to all. Happy Sunday!

                            • Woohoo...!
I get to play with the powerhose today

First the patio concrete ( really grotty and crumbly too...so it should be fun) last time hopefully before we rebuild it.
And then the park bench.....unless OH demands his turn to play with it

Pity it's not as warm as yesterday.....I just know I'll get sopping wet!

                              • Watered everything with Mr Snoop's help again. Counted the parsnip seedlings. Now 16 where there were only nine the day before yesterday. Let's hope a few more pop up. Removed loads of snails hugging the bottom of a courgette plant as I stooped to pollinate another female flower. Somewhat desperate though, as I shoved the male flower into a different female flower a couple of days ago.

Very windy this morning, and the tom plants I haven't tied up yet are blowing about a bit. Hope they survive. No time to deal with them till tomorrow.

Anyway, to whom it may concern: happy father's day. And to everyone else: happy non-father's day.
