I smiled at this, teenage daughter noticed and asked what I was smiling at. She didn't see the attraction.

I explained how her generation and our generation have differing ideas as to what's fun and when she's older and pleading for a shot of my pressure washer, I shall say no.

            • Evening all. After a dry morning down the rain came...it has poured down all afternoon.

Must be getting old. I cleared all the cookies from my iPad which obviously logs me out of the Grapevine. Could I remember my password...I then requested a new one and now the site won't let me change it! Oh well no big deal as I don't usually sign out anyway.

Hope you are having drier evening than us!

              • No dry weather here today. I awoke to rain and it poured down until five o'clock this evening.
It took me forty minutes to walk to the cemetary and likewise coming home, plus an hour and a half for the mass so,I have just about had enough rain for the day.
Couldnt drive as there wa so much congestion and no parking spaces to be had.
                Rain has finally stopped.

                • Raining here too after being fine all day, it started about 5. I made a cottage pie for in the week and some mashed potato for the freezer. Don't know what to have today though. Visitors prevented a roast.
I have a large bird feeder which is only accessible by little birds and I am refilling it with seed every 2 days!

                  • Good evening,

Raining here too, started about 3pm. Went to the allotment in the rain and tackled the other greenhouse that look like a jungle in there. I should of took a pic of it before I cleaned it up. Just need to clean the glass in the greenhouse and then transfer some plants over into it. The big greenhouse needs replacing badly. Notice some of the wood has started to break. And I don't want it to collapses one day and kill what I am growing in there.

Still not properly clean. Found loads of ants crawling about at the back near the green frame, thinking there is a ant's nest in there. Do I leave it or should I get rid of it?

Apart from getting soaking wet, I've enjoyed being down there. It's got rid of my headache I had before I went.

Not sure what I am going to do for the rest of the night yet. Will decided after I have eat my tea.

                    • Good evening Folks, it has been a very wet day here today, rain has stopped just know but I think it will be back again shortly, I was thinking about taking my car over to Jay so she could wash mine also, but she must be a fine weather girl, as I don't think she washed her car, and Nicos I remember when my wife and I played those games with the water too, most enjoyable, it makes you wonder what some of the Mods do, I noted one went out today without a jumper. As it was very wet my wife decided we were not going out today, so sadly didn't get the chance to spend anything, ah well there is always next year,
sorry ment next week, I am now getting pestered to sort a carpet, its time she realised who the boss is here. Well I wish you all a good night, hope the weather picks up again and we all get sunshine, in our life if nowhere else, I am off to sort a carpet. Goodnight
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

OH chosen to work a bit today, lost his dad early this yr so not wanting to do much, not up to a crowded crem, mil doing her own thing. Saw my dad yesterday not that he understood his Father's Day card.
Forecast rain from 3 and heavy rain all through night so "I hope " to get potatoes earthed up, some sp onions planted and beets/salads, do some potting on of pinto beans and canary creeper, rearrange staging on deck for more salads, check brassicas , toms etc. could do with doing some feeding here and then, trim edges (with OH cutting grass) and weeding ....all before 3 and a dog walk slotted in .surely doable
...all if dad is in a good mood.

                            Have a good day
