Mizzle here too...glad we got all the lawns cut yesterday ...the field/ garden will have to wait.

We are babysitting a beautiful Labradoodle for the next couple of days.
Hibou is deffo not impressed
Funny how grumpy cats let their feelings be known isn't it??

This morning we shall mostly be doing this....

Morning all
I will be playing in the kitchen today. Making lots of things with fish from yesterday's catch. It's all filleted and pin boned already. And I'm going to ( try ) make strawberry mint ice cream.

Morning All.
I'm sure there's a market for Fish Icecream or icelollies. You could make them the shape of fishfingers, rolled in chopped nuts. Or as one of the little refreshing bits the upmarket restaurants serve between courses and your're left wondering whether it was worth getting the cutlery dirty for..........

Good morning all. No sun here either.
Think I may head into town this morning as there is nothing left to do in the garden because of the rain and I am literally standing in the greenhouse waiting for things to grow.
All I seem to do, due to the bad weather is rearrange the pots, snip a damaged leaf or two off and I seem to have run of things to do at the minute.

I desperately need to weedkill my garden. I had all the stuff ready 4 weeks ago when the weather was settled for a few days. The forecast was for rain today. It hasn't happened so if i'd sprayed it first thing this morning I would have been ok. I did it 2 weeks ago and the weeds acted as if it was fertilizer because it rained.

I would have loved a trip to Wilko's but at the moment I'm driving a mini cabriolet. The boot is minute. I had enough trouble getting my shopping into the car on Monday let alone gardening stuff. Oh and the nearest Wilkos to me is over 20 miles away and no carpark. If you buy so much you can't carry it you have a problem.

Darn, no fertile eggs at market.
Looks like I'll have to try some of our own.
Thing is the old boy is , well ( how to put the delicately???) well, getting on a tad
Last year only 1 out of the 4 eggs he was supposed to have fertilised was actually fertile .

Fingers crossed we have some success at least.....

Good evening folks, it has been cold here today and while looking around the garden I noted that a tub of mint is showing signs of the cold (and before anyone asks, yes I placed a tissue beside it) I had set the central heating at 16c and that has come on, so not a nice day, well thats the first full day of the school holidays, had a game of cowboys and indians, but didnt last long as one of the indians shot me with his machine gun,(or perhaps I was an indian) when dose the school go back in. I do have a child free day tomorrow, a sort of calm before the storm day, and I will head to the local Wilcos shop to gaze at their bargains, maybe if I hang around long enough I will get some freebies.
Well I wish you all a good night, just wondering do you think its just certain people that get freebies, possibly people that frighten the shop assistants, if so I have had it, I look too gentle Goodnight
