  • Morning all! Well I am off today - going to walk 55 miles of Hadrian's Wall with my niece. Getting excited now House neighbours and allotment neighbours are going to make sure my tomatoes etc are kept nicely watered. Hoping to find some good Northumberland ales so that I can do the same! Back in a week.

You're gonna walk 55 miles in a day Extra large bottle of halo polish needed there I reckon

Yes BB that's good going for susieq in one day it would take me two days to do that, with several stops of course
Shen you should charge by the hour I have found that if you charge by the day you have them longer

rary - he arrived - I suggested a small charge - he showed me his pockets as empty as yours but suggested we go out so I took him in my car using my petrol and ended up spending £50 on a headset for his xbox1 - where did I go wrong rary - please send advice as to how I should manage this in future. :confused

ps I also bought him crisps and juice as he was hungry and thirsty - turned out very hot here this afternoon.

PPS - I think he wants to move in as he is hinting his young brothers need a room each now and his room is too small in any case, whereas I have a large spare room which has plenty of room for a large TV, his xbox1 and all his other junk - should I emigrate or just move house?

Shen this boy will go places, just hold on to his coat tails and enjoy the journey. More than likely if you tried moving house, he would be standing at the door holding it open for you.
If he moves in negotiate with his mother, about how much you are willing let this cost you

Jay, remember to take note about the spending when you are in London, ie. how much you spend on your son and how much gran spends on the two of you,
You dont have to give figures, but I bet gran spends the most, or now that you will be taking note, she will offer to do so

Jay should have added whats wrong with wearing an old shirt at night, why do you need to wear some thing nice (with those words its usually means expensive) an old shirt will keep you just as warm in bed at night

                        • Just catching up on some of the posts, and wondering why Hazel did 4 1/2 miles, why not just run 2 miles in the one run

and CG why 2 1/2hrs. did you stop for a rest half way through your hours walk

Joking girls the both of you did a lot more than I could do now, and I must admit I am jealous, the one thing I do miss nowadays is the hill walking

A colourful bib to keep the grease of your clothes and to wipe your fingers when you are finished, if the fish suppers are wrapped in newspaper you can finish up with your hands black off the ink
