I saw one in Aldi's yesterday at 50p - if you hurry you might just get one. Hope this doesn't give you a sleepless night

Only kidding - Am I mistaken or did I just hear you groan?

    • Evening All! I'm back from soggy West Wales.
Did you miss me yesterday! My computer threw a wobbly and I had to fill in the time with boring stuff like hoovering. It was too wet to do any gardening so I couldn't show the estate agent my little bit of paradise and he said, though not so plainly, that there was no point marketing it if people couldn't walk round the garden because of the undergrowth.
I need a man with a big brushcutter
Hope you're OK, SP and your Dad is, CG.

If I bring the one from the lottie will you introduce me to Dr Livingstone?

That's not funny, I had my shoes on before I read the end of your post, and that was only because I was looking for my bus pass

Sorry about that - I should have told the truth it was only 25p

            • Just remembered - I got three beds of beetroot like the attached :-)

I have been handing them out to my friends and some of those less fortunate with their crop :-)

              • Time for bath and bed - grandson and I have some chess to play at the library tomorrow followed by a Committee meeting at night - did I mention he won the school Challenge Match just before the holidays - some of his opponents were in 5th and 6th year and seemed bot too chuffed at being beat by someone in 3rd year - Nice New Trophy to be collected at the school prizegiving :-)

                  • Mornin n'all!

Just wanted to ask you all to cross your fingers, cos we can't find Hibou.
We last saw her Monday lunchtime.
Hopefully she'll come wandering in demanding something to eat - like she's done before....but it's always a worry, especially with her eye/ mouth/ neck problem.

We had a lovely hamlet BBQ in our field yesterday evening....just need to clear away this morning.
                    Fortunately the rain held off!

                    Had a great day peeps.
                    Safe journey SP x

                    • Still in Britain. Have to stay on a few days longer. Meanwhile, Mr Snoop reports that the "toms are champion". I didn't realise what he was talking about at first, it seems so unlikely.

Hope you're all well and jolly.

                      • Morning Nicos and all - do hope you find your lovely cat Hibou soon.

It looks like a much better day than yesterday and now the water butts are nice and full. Need to get on with planting some flowers up this month in the borders and sow some root veg for winter crops.

                        Have a good day all
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

                          Glad you're ok SP....
                          Return home safely Hibou ....
I need a bulb planter, and would even consider paying £1 if it was the long-handled version ........... (I did see one 'offered'(!!!) at £79 on a flower web-site.................

Toby dog is whining and whittling around me as I've actually had a 'lie-in' this morning, so just drinking up my cuppa then out across the field .......going to take him for a swim at a local man-made lake later, too .... he really, really loved the seaside last week - I'm missing it too!!!

                          Have a good Wednesday ..!!

                          • Good morning Folks, dont think I will be doing much today, have the grandchildren and we have heavy rain, was getting ready to take the dog a walk when it started, I opened the door and she about turned and went to her bed, if she is not going out nether am I, although once the kids are up I might change my mind. Have a good day everyone, for those with good weather get out and enjoy it, and those where the weather is bad, do some housework. On second thoughts the dog is going a walk. See you later
