Made a batch of courgette fritters and have had to give them away - they don't freeze and if I don't get rid of them .... I'll eat them! All of them! Aaargghhh!
They look worse for wear/drunk,what you give em,let me guess, bet they helped themselves
They were there when I arrived from taking the tables back to the church - think they were filled with my straw which was being returned - they are still there as we speak The booze was emptied the following day when 4 of us enjoyed a blether in the sun as it was too hot to work

South Ayrshire Council decided to hold a Best Plot Competition this year for the first time - it was held rather late in the Year so entries were limited - however been advised that one of our people has won - prizegiving will not take place till September but expect celebrations to take place in the poly this weekend and no it is not me - I didn't enter as I felt too much harvesting had taken place but it is one of the poly regulars.

Evening all. Well I'm glad to say my plot was fine. Pumpkin and Marrow are nice and safe still .
Spoke to one of the guys down the allotment and he said the spuds got done a couple of weeks ago. I haven't seen many people down there because of the school holidays. The vandals just pulled the spuds up and just dumped them where they had pulled them. Damaged so they couldn't be replanted. Makes you wonder about some people.
Been raining here most of the day and it looks as its going to start again.
Have a good evening everyone
Good mornaftevening! Not sure where the day has gone, but gone it has!
I've been thinning out the tomato leaves in the GH whilst waiting for a parcel. Don't need to hear the doorbell as the puppies go crazy when they hear it. Bess barks and jumps around, Ted goes "Oof" in his best deep voice and jumps around and Spud throws back his head and howls like a demented werewolf.
Anyway, the parcel man arrived and I go out to sign for the parcel telling him I have green hands from the tomatoes.
He said "I can smell tomatoes on you. You remind me of my Uncle who grew tomatoes in a big GH and I loved going in there to smell them"
Does everyone like the smell of tomatoes, I wonder, or is it just me and the parcel man?
Hope you've all had a good day and are ready for the weekend
