    • Drizzle?
There are 2 types of drizzle that I have so far catagorized from my own experiences!
1)Lakeland drizzle...the very fine misty drenching wet which usually starts half way into a long walk or whilst trying to put up a tent.
      2) Blackpool drizzle (slightly heavier)....the stuff which bounces off your nose whilst trying to eat an icecream

      • Mornin' Nicos, Flo 'n all ...
Don't know what I'm smiling about, it's dark 'n dismal here too with an amount of precipitation ....!!!!

A wet dog walkies in the offing, make my piccalilli ~ suppose better do something resembling housework, then off to the drudge later this afternoon ......... First though, finish cuppa .......

Have a good day, I'll be popping in later, no doubt.....!

        • ----------- Just got back in and was pleasantly surprised at how nice it actually is out there ........ warm, bit of blue sky with a hint of sun and ~ bonus ~ not blowing a gale .....!!!!!

Only one thing that spoiled the walkies somewhat, this morning, was the extremely pungent PONG of what the farmer had been spreading onto his field yesterday ....... dear oh dear, a most objectionable, offensive nasty niff ...........
Just no way of avoiding it either ~ it's on the fields that run adjacent to the footpath .........

Any suggestions where I can purchase a couple of gas masks, please ..... one for me and a large Labrador sized one, ...???

              • Morning all Looks like its been raining all night so hopefully the butts are full at last. Got lots to get on with today am making a couple of fruit crumbles and maybe some more soup depending how many tomatoes I pick.

Not rushing to go outside in the rain

You could wear a headscarf / silk scarf tied over your nose Susie And one for your poor dog too! Not a pleasant way to start the day is it!
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

Looks like a day in the kitchen. Got to find something to do with the 15kg of plums we picked yesterday morning, before we started playing with shed removal & reconstruction ( it's up by the way, just needs new roofing felt ). It's grey out there this morning but it has stopped raining. I might get to play outside later.

                        Just to vary it.
                        Delicate chocolate aftertaste and yummy!

                        • Morning all. I need to fix the barrier between my shed and the fence, put there to stop the dogs escaping out to the streets behind me. The children are on holiday and like playing with them and have moved the barrier. I wouldn't mind too much if the adults around didn't send them off to the dog pound as strays. The dogs not the kids.

I might take a non driving friend to the next town as he wants a beer making kit.

Find a car for my son as his is on the way out.

If I have any time left I've some painting to do. I've put it off for long enough.

                          • Morning everyone, quite bright here at the moment
Housework of some sort will have to happen this morning, even if it's only cleaning the bathroom
Work this afternoon, so there is something to enjoy today
Runner beans are slowing down, but there was still enough for dinner yesterday. Hubby is eating tomatoes like sweeties, which helps with the glut.
Hope you all had a great weekend, will look in later

                            • Morning all,

That weekend flew by and I didn’t do very much it seems
It rained plenty tho, so have that as a defence....

Did watch Finding Dory with the kids on Saturday and went for a spin on the bike yesterday..Did 60km that included plenty of hills, so happy enough with that...Soon be too dark to go out in the evenings

Made some of the soup Nicos posted the recipe for and twas lovely..We had it heated slightly (rather than cold) and I added spicy mango chutney rather than plain..
Voted a success by all who had some; thanks Nicos!!

Also went out for a few pints of creamy Guinness with some friends last night. Enjoyable evening was had

Off this Friday and next Monday so a short week for me and something to look forward to..Going to do some stuff with the kids as they are back to school next Monday.....
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

                              ...utterly nutterly

                              • I've just found out something very interesting!
We had an earthquake on Friday. There was a very loud bang and the house shook ( it scared the cr@p out of me ). I had no idea what it was, so carried on making my chilli sauce. This has just been posted on f@ceb@@k
