  • Morning all. No gardening for me today. Off to town with daughter and grandaughter. We must get her clothes today as she is being confirmed on 19 May and daughter is panicing at this stage as grandaughter is at that "in between " size and we are having difficulty finding anything that suits or fits properly. Wish us luck.
    Have a good day all.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

    • Morning all from a sunny but chilly corner of Leeds. OH is out all day today so a day of plants looms

Will get outside if it gets a bit warmer, or have indoor jobs to do otherwise - either way seeds will be involved!

Have a great day one and all!

            • 'Twas cool indeed, Bren. Although sun was out for most of the day, it's still chilly!
Hope the onion sets and garlic planted out late this afternoon don't suffer too much!!
I'm kicking myself, should've got some fleece or cloches. Must go buy some, tomorrow - hopefully it won't be like shutting the gate after the horse has bolted ............

                • Well, I got lots of tomatoes potted on and loads more moved out to greenhouses...
Also got power to my largest greenhouse just in case I ever need it...

...which was handy as I could then immediately use it for putting up two shelves in it

Having a relaxing glass of red now after a busy day which included placating a moody teenage daughter as well as all things gardening....

                  • Evening all
After a late night last night and an earlier start than normal to clean out all my animals this morning didn't do much in the garden today. I did design a bowl ( other half made it, to my specs) and I decorated it. What do you think?

For some reason all the painted bowls have to be named. So this one I named purple rain.

                    • Your bowl is stunning, small pumpkin. Just beautiful. Looks like something you'd see in a posh art gallery.
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

                      • A very poductive day for me, my daughter and grandaughter. Literally, shoped till we dropped , but got her sorted with a lovely dress, jacket and all the trimmings.
We were shattered by the time we got home but it was all worth while and a very enjoyable day was had by all.
Having said that, I wouldnt want to be doing that very often. Dublin city on a Saturday afternoon is not for the fainthearted.
