Morning all - another day among the weeds beckons - I intend to put up a notice saying "Weeds are Banned" and sit back sipping a small libation to see if it works

Good morning Folks, feels like a fine Autumn day here, and I feel a lot better, had a good night's sleep and didn't feel hot at all in bed, (I now remember when she said I was hot in bed it was 14th. July 1966 I got sunburned on Troon beach.) I am taking OH out for afternoon tea as a thank you for running in attendance to me over the last two days, I will drive, she will pay____, you surly don't think I was so ill that I would pay,__Well have a good day and enjoy yourselves
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
Member of the Nutters Club but I think I am just there to make up the numbers

Morning rary - glad to hear you still have your priorities right and are on the road to recovery or whichever other hostelry takes your fancy.

Morning all Our phones have been down since yesterday and just getting fixed now.
Very humid, getting some drizzle but not enough to save me watering and not enough to fill the butts. So useless really. Rain, if you're going to but rain hard not this wimpy stuff!
Having a coffee, trying to clear muzzy head. I seem to have a carrot that is growing sideways in the container which is rather weird. Big flush of new runner beans growing which I'm delighted about but hubby is not.
Have a good weekend all.
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.
Evenin' all ...
Started off a fine, dry morning ........ DH is obviously unwell ~ he was volunteering himself for doing some outdoor tasks again today .........
So ------------ out came the big guns - the 3 tier aluminium ladder, electric saw, loppers and strong ties to secure the ladder to tree ........ (which only took place once the ladder - on only the first extension, twisted and propelled, unceremoniously DH into the field behind our fence...). I did not laugh. Much!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, we have managed to cut down a large portion of one of the (5) wildly overgrown (hideous, hateful, abhorrent leylandi ) - Thunder had been a rumbling in the distance for a while, then heavy drops of rain started - then it started to hammer it down - so rain really did stop play .........!
just got to get rid of it all now ................
Ho hum ............

Morning all
should be going to get my new greenhouse this morning then go fishing. But as he is asleep in his chair still ( which is where he has been all night ), it may not be happening. I should probably find out what's wrong.
Looks like another day in the kitchen.
Have a good day everyone
Well, after dog walkies duty, it's in the shower for me and must find some glad-rags to put on - future DIL is coming to pick me up (with her Nan, sister & friend who are to be her bridesmaids) and she's taking me 'mother of the bridegroom dress shopping' into Birmingham ......
(Not something I would usually look forward to as I'm absolutely rubbish at choosing outfits, so I'll just let DIL do the decision making, after all, it's her wedding...!!! )
We also have afternoon tea booked at Marco Pierre Whites ~ so a proper girlie day out ....!
(No tree chopping/tip runs for me today then...!!!)
