Good morning Folks, looks like we are going to have a wet day here today, raining just now, not heavy but enough to save me from having to try digging out roots of the bushes that have been cut down, oh boy a rest, I have from now till grandsons go to school to think of something that will avoid having to do some housework. Well enjoy the day whatever you do, bye

Good morning all.
Nice start to the day here. Forecast is for sun, so that's nice.
Picked two bowls of tomatoes last night, not that many left to go. For some reason ours have ripened really well.
Off out to lunch with 3 friends from the charity shop. Have no idea where we are going, just know it's a 12 o clock start.
I am having my hair cut later on as well, so a full afternoon.
The GG comes back from Poland tomorrow, cannot wait to see her and hear about her adventure
Have a lovely day folksNannys make memories

Good afternoon Folks, not done much today, there has been a bit of a wind blowing, one of them more than a breeze but less than a strong winds, (great for drying, I have been told) took OH down to Troon to see SiL who had been ill, and passed through some heavy showers on the way, so got moaned at about the washing getting soaked, I had nothing to do with it, but I still think I was getting the blame, then back home to pick up the boy's from school, wife now watching younger two and I am the older twos house getting defended by tv blasting out noise, they are up in their bedrooms every time I turn down the sound one will come down sitting and watch the telly for a couple of minutes then disappear again leaving the sound back up, I think I will just turnoff the hearing aid, I was about to go and read a garden magazine but one of those rascals have moved/hidden it, I am off to find it now, may be on later, byeit may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Had a nice lunch out with friends, but the real reason we were summoned was told right at the beginning. Our dear friend M who is recovering from her second fight with bowel cancer, told us that it had spread to her brain. What a blow, right out of the blue.
Anyway, we picked ourselves up and went on to have a giggle
Hairs been cut and blow dried, so just got dinner to cook.
Sausages, with home grown spuds, carrots, runners and onions. Just trying to think if I can sneak in a few tomatoes .....Nannys make memories

Today's bargain buckets
Evenin' all
Another lovely day - the last for August ........eeeek ~ where'd that go......??
I managed to squeeze in another trip down to the tip before work this morning...the pile of leylandi is v e r y s l o w l y going down .......
The usual 'household waste recycling centre' is closed on. Wednesday, so I went to one a few miles down the road - near to a M0rris0*s - so I thought I'd sidle in and see if they had any of their legendary flower buckets going for grabs.
Woohoo - lucky me - there were two stacks of 8 buckets - 99p for the 8 - so I had them both. A happy girl with a bargain
Whilst there, decided to whizz around B & m - I needed some jars/glass containers so I can store some preserves made with my produce. And was really pleased to pick up some medium-sized kilner jars for £1.49 and 3 smaller ones for £2.99 for the set of three ..... All set to do a bit tomorrow morning to get them filled with tasty home produced pickle/chutney etc !!!Attached Files~~~ Gardening is medicine that does not need
