Good mornin' all!
A wet start here with the promise of clearer skies ahead.
Toby's waiting impatiently for his walkies as I must first just quickly inspect yesterday's' planting out ....

Then it's off to see big son and future DIL in their new home, blinds to put up etc
Hopefully there'll be a bit of time left this afternoon to potter about a bit outside ...

Evening all
After a late night last night and an earlier start than normal to clean out all my animals this morning didn't do much in the garden today. I did design a bowl ( other half made it, to my specs) and I decorated it. What do you think?

For some reason all the painted bowls have to be named. So this one I named purple rain.

Morning Girls'n'all from a sunny but bladdy cold Nestland, gonna have to limit my activities today as I've done my back & knee in shifting them chippins yesterday................the sign of ageing I guess..........have a good one & hope it stays dry for you.

Morning all. Wet out here, no big plans for me.
Got two catering jobs this coming week. One as a favour, the other one a paying job.
Will be busy making sandwiches, sausage rolls and the like - oh joy
I have been looking at the night time temps going forward into May. Not getting much warmer overnight at all.
Holiday contingency plans are being thought about. Movement of pots and dustbins to sheltered walls might be of use. Tomatoes are going for a little holiday two doors down, and will put them in their buckets on our return.
Will plant sweetcorn, runners and everything else when we return Mid May.
Anyway, hope you all have a great Sunday whatever you are doing

Thank you for all the nice comments about the bowl. I can't take much credit, the other half is the clever one. I just threw some paint at it.
a very necessary day of house work and packing to be done. Off to sunny Rhyl tomorrow.

Didn't want to get up this morning, I could see the snow falling. It's still falling
Not sure of the days plans yet, first a coffee and then a dog walk and then.......

Morning all. Lovely sunshine and high cloud here, so perhaps it will stay dry for the day. I was up at 7.15 this morning (I know! On a Sunday!) making custard to go on the trifle for pudding. Going to get myself in gear now and whizz round with the vacuum cleaner, prep lunch and walk up to the shop for the paper.

If it does stay dry I have jobs to do in the garden. If it doesn't, I have some potting on to do and some planting for the conservatory/greenhouse. The tomatoes and cukes/courgettes are growing like weeds I love this time of year.

We used to have a thread 'Funny things said by children' or similar, but I can't find it, but these quotes might make you smile, we had my 7 year old grandson staying with us last week, great fun ( and exhaustion!).

My husband took him to London and to 'Madam 2 Swords', etc and to Buckingham Palace etc, when he looked and said ' well it is quite big, but not as big as my friends house in Pudsey! ( Yorkshire)!

Then to the big Rainforest Cafe, again it wasn't as 'big as the one in Pudsey!'

Here is the bowl Bob made yesterday. It was a bit of a competition see who could decorate the best one
He hasn't thought of a name for it yet.





We will find out tomorrow if either of us win. Depends if either of them sell at the craft fair he is doing tomorrow

Morning all. Another dunny morning, think we are getting spoiled by the weather at this stage, cant remember the last time we had rain. Off to church and then hopefully an afternoon in the garden.
