  • I really love those bowls! They are so different! I wish I had those kind of talents.

Beautiful day here. Want to get the rest of the fence painted today and some stuff planted out under cover but I'm having visitors which means it will be a stuck indoors, mainly in the kitchen kind of day.

Don't get me wrong, I'll be pleased to see them, I'm just frustrated at the waste of sun. No doubt it will be raining again tomorrow.

And no, sadly they're not the kind of visitors you could hand a paint brush to.

I hope you all have a productive or lazy day depending on your desires.

My husband took him to London and to 'Madam 2 Swords', etc and to Buckingham Palace etc, when he looked and said ' well it is quite big, but not as big as my friends house in Pudsey! ( Yorkshire)!

Then to the big Rainforest Cafe, again it wasn't as 'big as the one in Pudsey!'
I'm obviously in the wrong part of Pudsey... wasn't aware of any palaces!!

I know it - I haven't been inside - but it doesn't look that big!

            • Get better soon BM - gardening should come with a health warning!

Been out all day visiting relatives. I really missed my seeds and that was the first thing I did when we got back, checked up on them. Need a strong. Coffee and sit down. Have good evening all
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

Popped into Aldi for only the second time ever and bought a reduced heated propagator.
I'm going to need it, at the speed I'm not going ...

Our spuds are nearly up to the top of their containers and soon will be beyond earthing up.
We are thinking of moving them against south facing walls to give them some protection and then fingers crossed from there.
Wish me luck, the night temperatures are not very nice

                  • Good evening,

Not been on here for awhile, I've just been busy working long hours. Got a few days off now, so just going to rest and catch up with tv programs and knitting.

                        • Evening All!
I've had my Sunday afternoon trip to the local Morries, hunting out the yellow stickers! They had piled high boxes of bedding plants reduced to 9p for 6 plants. Poor little things, unloved and uncared for, in desperate need of some TLC.
Having sifted through all the boxes I found 4 that seemed to have a future and balanced them on the trolley. Behind me in the checkout queue, a man with 2 huge, expensive bouquets of flowers and there's me with 4 packs of dead plants costing 36p
"All they need is a drop of water" he said - and he was absolutely right because most of them are perky again and I have 6 petunias, pansies, dahlias and salvia to add to my 680+ begonias.
I may go back tomorrow and buy some more, I could use the modules for potting on the begonias
Anyway, enough of me, yawn, hope you've all had a good day
