  • Morning all
I'm back in Rhyl. The journey down was hideous it took 12 hours.
Hope everyone has a good day. I'm expecting mine to be a little stressed

    • Morning - I'm up with the early birds today
Its nippy but nice - I'm happy with that. Need to spend the morning in the garden as I have to be in the house this afternoon waiting in for the meter reader
      Have a great day everyone

        • Stick a note on your door VC "come and find me in the garden"

Lovely blue sky this morning but mighty chilly. Toms are still on my dining room floor, along with a fair bit of spilt compost.
Really strange not driving around. Yesterday I decided I would spring clean the house when son n2 came home he said, "thanks for tidying my room but where are my AS Maths books." Well that was two hours wasted!! Best stick to gardening in future.

            • Morning all, went to bed late, woke at 5am and feel rotten now. Do you think I could go have 40 winks?

It's a lovely sunny morning but a bit chilly, glad it's not snowing though.

              Have a great day all.

              • Morning all Lovely sunny day but only 2 degrees - if we only made it to 3 I'd start singing when will I see you again LOL.

Not doing much today except need to get my broccoli potted on now and probably some other bits. Difficult as running out of indoor space fast where they will get decent light. Still waiting on the strawbs and the inca berries to come up. Disappointed to only get 3 tomatoes so far as well although those 3 will probably be enough if they survive to be fair.

Half way through catching up on watching Monty. His dogs are adorable. I think the dog topiary is funny. I've never understood the point of cutting hedging into weird shapes but that's me. The pic he showed that was meant to be a dog looked like a deformed pig
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

                • Woke up this morning to see a pigeon parading through my caulis and cabbages. The first ever. Made Mr Snoop open the window and bang something. Off it flew, for now...
Worse still, went and looked outside and said "frost". No-one believed me so I went and gathered evidence, though it had largely thawed by the time I got back in. The potatoes were in the sun and dripping wet when I went to look at them. Some are looking distinctly floppy. Fingers crossed...
Anyway, bright again this morning but a few cold nights ahead, especially at the weekend. So, I'll be earthing up today and hoping for the best.

Hope you're all having fun and jolliness. Special shout-out to Lottie Dolly: one day closer to Mr LD coming home.

                    • Thanks Scarlet, the back is more or less ok but the leg is still painful. I've no idea what I did. OH thinks it was because I used a rake to scarify the lawn the day before but I was fine when I first got up. Who knows? On the painkillers again. Thanks for asking!

                      How's the knee BM?

                        • Morning all,

Feel like utter **** today hay fever has been so bad and been up most of the night, my eyes just want to shut for swelling and lack of sleep but no time to rest off out to buy extra pipe fitting and hopefully will get the water back on after 3 days with no water, my plants are dying very slowly and of course it is very warm and sunny!!!!

Off past the market whilst I'm in town, have to buy some pepper plants and lots and lots of basil

                          Have a nice day
I grow 70% for us and 30% for the snails, then the neighbours eats them

                            • Sorry to hear of aches , pains, hayfever and pigeons.

The sun is in and out but that wind is raw . I've decided to get a homemade chicken broth type on the go for lunch to warm us up.
I could go in the office doing accounts work , but that isn't appealing as much as seeds.

Hope you all have a good day.
