Morning woke up to fog and frost an odd combination anyway the sun's coming out so both should soon be gone.
All the best for today Deano they probably aren't expecting too much opposition to their plans, so going in prepared will surprise them.
    Location....East Midlands.

Morning all. Sun is shining so that should burn off the overnight frost. That was a surprise. Will it hurt the slugs though? Gosh I hope so, she said vindictively.

So, I made an executive decision that it was not going to rain yesterday afternoon, when I went for my walk (route march really). Ha! However, I did manage nearly half an hour before it started mizzling and the sky really clouded over and started to look threatening. So I took the shorter alternative route and had been indoors about 15 minutes before the heavens opened and thrashed it down. Still, I did nearly 3 miles Finished my book anyway.

Today is ironing and Allotment day. IF the lawns dry out enough will try and put the mower over, even it is only the front one. Looks a state.

Grand-daughter sitting tomorrow. I haven't seen her for two weeks. Planning that she can come out and help me weed the path at the front. I have bought her gardening tools - they are more decorative than useful and come in a little trolley but they will get her into the groove . The trolley is way too light so I am going to have to fill the bottom with gravel - ballast for all you nautical types. Have a lovely day.

        Morning all,

It is a beautiful day here, clear blue skies and so wonderfully still and quite, all i can hear is the chickens singing their egg songs

There are 100´s of abandoned lemons trees about a 15 minute drive away so i am taking the boys and a couple of bags to stock up and i will try and make my first batch of lemon marmalade and lemon curd yummy lemons

        Have a nice day

          Morning all

Sun has got it's hat on here at Upper Wooden-Hill today I think phone call/texts will determine what if anything gets done for the next few days

Martin, regarding a battery isolation switch in your daughters car, please do some research about her particular model first, in days gone by it was a quick & easy anti-theft method but these days it may be more problematic, some alarm systems see main battery disconnection as an attempted attack & will sound if a particular sequence is not followed, also some cars can loose part of their ECU memory parameters, as an example after a battery change Vauxhall Corsa/Tigra need 5 engine restarts to reset the throttle position sensor

Morning all, it has been beautiful here yesterday and today. Didn't get on the vine yesterday as we went out. Sorry to hear your news Martin but nice to have you back, hope you had a good time. Best of luck Deano...let us know how it goes!

Still thinking about finishing my ottoman. As you can seen from the photos it has a cushion top which is attached to a wooden lid...all one piece of material holding it. This lid sits on a ledge on the inside so my problem is I will probably have too much material at the corners for the lid to close. First time I've done this so excuse the handiwork!

Happy Sunny Sunday! I've no idea if there was a frost last night as it was all sunshiny when I woke up
I may be path making today - need to get my bed count up to 30 sharpish so that I can implement the 30 Day Plan (don't ask!)
Have a great day, whatever you're doing

Ottoman looks good Jay, perfect matching of the check...........................I do agree though that due to it being thick fabric it will be difficult to get good corners, I also think the piping around the edge is causing unnecessary thickness, I would have folded the fabric under to stop fraying then pulled the fabric tight & stapled............hope that makes sense.
