  • Morning all. Going to be a lovely day So, potting on this morning and to the allotment this afternoon. We have hired a skip for carpet and plastic - I have been frantically 'de-carpeting' - I have far more than I thought. It will be good to get rid of it.

Had a lovely fifty-tenth birthday earlier in the week. I was rather dreading it, hard to 'celebrate' a big birthday when you're on your own, but friends and family rallied round and gave me a lovely time. Thank you to all of them

I will not be naked gardening today. But I will be gardening Enjoy your weekend whether clothed or not.

    • Happy Saturday Grapeys
Its raining but I'm not complaining. It saves me watering all the plantlets on the hardening off bench. My butt was also too low for my liking - definitely not suitable for WNGD
Have a great day whatever you you're doing or not doing.

      • Good morning all and its raining here as well. We have had a lovely sunny week but I feel sorry for all the peeps who work every day and look forward to the weekend. Hope its just a temperory blip as the forecast is said to be good.
        Have a good day all.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

            • Wowzers 24 degrees outside and I got sunburn even though I put cream on. Forgot to add more of the stuff as have been in the garden all day. Super hot so nice to come into cool house.

Sowed some beetroot and more broccoli, potted on some tomatoes which are looking good, some more squash and some inca berries. Runner beans are getting so big think am going to need to plant those out soon.

I won't be gardening naked either lol But I will be treating myself to an ice cream.

              Enjoy your day everyone
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

              • Evening been at work today but did get to sit out in the sunshine for the past hour and its just started raining so that saves me watering my lettuce and beetroot seedlings.

                • Evenin all. Had such a lovely few hours at the farm today, lots of interesting stuff going on. Both of us now have red faces, not from sunshine, but from wind burn
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

                  • Hello everyone, it's morning here, do evening with you I think.
Glad to hear that weather is picking up nicely, my veggies will love that. Unless our neighbour is not watering them .....
Don't even want to think about it.
Have been out and about today in lovely sunshine, just came back to have a cup of tea and to put a really cold flannel on my eyes. They are aching a bit.
I decided today to ditch the sunglasses as they were making everything look the same colour.
Do you know what, hardly anyone notices my bright mauve eyes.
Did you also know why age gives you baggy eyes ? It'sso that there's plenty of room to spread the bruises out. You should see mine .....

If you drew a line across the bridge of your nose, they'd look like sunglasses
Actually, you look like someone who's been up all night playing the slot machines.
Hope you're having a good time

                      • Good evening Folks, it has been a dull day here today, warm when the wind was not blowing, now getting a wee spit of rain, hopefully will clear up for tomorrow, NS those are crackers, hope they clear up quick, Marie whats this gardening naked, is it some type of pest control or a way to frighten the slugs and snails? Well I wish you all a good night, hope you all have pleasant dreams, and not about naked gardeners. Goodnight

                          • Evening all..
Was mainly a rainy one for us; certainly no 24 degrees
Not feeling 100% today do didn't do a whole lot..Potting on mainly, moved some more stuff out to greenhouses and then went to a fancy garden centre for a wander..
Kids are loving the new driveway and flying around on their bikes, scooters and blades
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

                            ...utterly nutterly

                            • Not that warm here (warmer than it has been so I'm not complaining too much) and the strong winds bullied me out of the garden.

Turns out the emotional rollercoaster of trying to find a new house in current market conditions is exhausting - so after a day of rest I'm determined to get caught up on seed sowing tomorrow.

The problem is my seed collection has somewhat... multiplied so I need to sort them out first and its a BIG job!

                              • WHAT-O PEEPS! Miss me? Got back from my jollies at an unsociable hour on Wednesday, and have been running to catch up ever since.

The physical running has been pretty tortuous - the trade off of 'rest for two weeks in order to solve 'niggles'' has been mitigated by an outrageous loss of cardiac fitness - and a club run in the week and today's session in training for the GMFR have been hugely hard going!

So all I have gleaned from skimming the 'Vine news is NS with black eyes - what happened there??

Otherwise, I'm unrolling the string a bit whilst I read back a little. Where do we start, BB?? Well, I guess this feelgood number, for me to remember that sun and San Miguel stuff...
