Total downpour yesterday evening. Everything muddy underfoot. So bad I daren't venture out in my slippers today - need to put my wellies on to see how the peas fared... My brassicas in modules are all flattened. I'm hoping they'll pick up eventually. I guess it's a way of telling me they need to be buried a bit more deeply in the ground. But they've got to wait, work calls and I'm miles behind. Phone call due from cross client in... ooh... eight minutes. But once that's over, there's a whole day ahead to procrastinate in.
Hope you all have a jolly day.

Still in bed as have been signed off for a couple of weeks while I do some serious thinking, mainly about work. Rainy today but when I eventually get up I'm sure there will be indoors things to do. I have a sock to finish knitting to go with it's friend for my nephew's 22nd birthday. He was quite excited by the thought of a pair of hand knitted socks!

Good morning all.
Just started to rain, after several beautiful warm days. Need to put most plants back in the cold frame to give them some protection, as heavy rainfall forecast for most of the day.
Have a pleasant day folks, indoor jobs for me today, might get tomatoes planted in greenhouse, nice little job.

Good luck, Jack. Very exciting days ahead for you
I overdid things in the garden yesterday and it was very hot so I am feeling it this morning with aches in muscles that I never knew existed Oh well it's good exercise that's for sure. Had some light rain but not what I was hoping for to give the garden a good soak. I was shocked to see (like Nicos) how dry everything was and some of my plants in pots look a little worse for wear - one looked positively dead!
Very humid was 15 degrees overnight so need a good thunderstorm to clear air. Will be working indoors today doing some potting on. Marrows and squash growing faster than I can deal with. It's all keeping me busy and out of trouble
Hope you all have a pleasant day whatever the weather.LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

Morning you'n'you'n'you'n'you'n'all from a mild but wet Nestland, the sun is trying to get it's hat on so fingers crossed. Bladder woke me up at half five so came down & ordered mi new phone, case & glass screen protector, looking forward to getting it tomorrow. Went back to my Nest around 8am & have just surfaced again. Were they tears of joy for you Jack or tears of joy cos she knows she can rid of you for a while.....................have a good day whatever you decide to do & if you're gardening, watch your toes..................sigpic“Gorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,”

A wee breeze you say rary?! Was on the phone to my mum when there was an enormous crash from the garden. A huge gust of wind had blown our table and chairs (quite heavy metal) half way down the garden along with the brolly which now has a broken spoke! Had our last brolly for 17 years, this one has only had one season and you know how much we used it last year...hardly ever! This should really be on the rant thread!sigpic
