Good morning all. Batteries recharged after having a lazy day yesterday. Unfortunately its a totally miserable morning so it will be an indoor day today.
Lashing rain, cold, grey and totally miserable.
Very strange weather. There was snow in Kerry yesterday, floods in Cork, gale force winds here in Dublin that delayed my daughters flight coming back from Germany and the weather girl telling us today will be a washout.

Afternoon everyone. It's been a nice morning here but had to spend some of it with the repair man who came to sort out the locks and fix the broken door. It should have been a matter of just replacing the broken glass in the door, but the guy who did the temporary boarding up made a mess of it and we'll need a new door. Sigh. The insurance will cover it but it's such a waste.

Anyway after that I did some pottering. I gave my tiny lawn some tlc: another mowing, then filled in the holes that the windowcleaner's ladder had made (again), gave it a light overseeding and sprinkled on some pelleted chicken manure to give it a spring boost. Now I need some rain like the rest of you seem to be having...

Also I noticed my hardy Fuchsia had started growing so I cut back all the dead bits. The garden is starting to look nice now although I have to stay upwind of the smell of chicken poo...

Very windy here but the sun keeps popping out from behind the clouds. I've had a lazy morning, going to clean the flat and then sort tea out for later.
Got a new bed coming tomorrow so need to sort our bedroom out to make space.

good evening Folks, never got to making up some baskets, I started to tidy up the area in front of the garage ( been in this house for over thirty years and the car has been in the garage about five times) as there were some rumbles about how untidy it was, there were five bags of compost, six hanging baskets, from last year, two bags of grit and some logs waiting to be sawed up, and quite a bit of sawdust scattered about, and while doing that, a neighbour needed some help clearing up an other neighbours hedge that he had cut down, so after giving him a hand I had to make sure our own area was tidy or I would never have heard the end of it (some of you will know how the Other Half`s go on about things like that) Going to Glasgow tomorrow where I will let her buy me lunch (keeps them happy, spending money)
Well I wish you all a good night, and next winter when your moaning about snow, remember it makes most gardens look tidy. goodnight
