Yes I wouldn't put him through it either VC and as Susie says he is happy in himself...when he is not being grumpy that is! At nearly 15 it's a miracle he still wants to play at all!
Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts - even the rude ones
I had cataract ops a few years ago and the laser treatment was to let more light through the back of the lens. I think its very common to need it after cataract surgery.
So far so good Back to the hosp in 3 weeks when they'll probably do the other eye

I'm having mine done n the 26th.,did not know you might need laser treatment has well .now I'm scared.
Ms-T you don't need laser usually. My parents (dad with dementia ) have had both eyes done , only mum had touch of laser yr or so later for floaters they call it.
Don't worry .
Don't be scared, Ms-T. The cataract op is straightforward and painless. Its just not knowing what to expect that can be worrying. Its a doddle, honestly.
Morning
Shattered today, didn't feel like getting up. It's cool but dry for now and at least the sun is making an attempt . Raining tonight and onwards rest of the week by the looks of it so il be outside today , the housework can whistle
Good morning all
Weather can't make it's mind up today. Mucking out geese & turkeys this morning. Then lots of hanging around waiting for the vet to finish her rounds at the local estate then we can take seven round to see her. Other half Took him into the vet yesterday just as she was running out the door to an emergency. Apparently she stopped had a very quick look at him with the comment "I don't like the look of how he is breathing from his abdomen". Will let you know how he gets on later.
Have a good day everyone
Made the mistake of watching a Silent Witness late last night in bed and reckon I scared myself witless with it because I didn't get to sleep until the early hours of this morning. Woke up grumpy and in a bad mood I don't do moods very well either.
Sun is shining though so after I've caffeinated myself up I should be just great. Hope everyone enjoys their day. I need to hurry on down town and pick out a pressie for our anniversary tomorrow. Luckily he loves chocs and we have a nice little Thorntons shop so that's where I shall be headed after checking out the gardening section in Westend and Poundland
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.
The fog has lifted to reveal a stunning blue sky I shall be continuing the effort to become a bronzed Adonis over the plot today....well as red blimp maybe.
Looking forward to the promised rain tomorrow, not that I like rain but i like the watering can even less!
Morning all. Lovely day outside today
Was a good girl yesterday, kept myself busy all day and went to bed about 10.30.
Woke up at 1.45, and 4.00 am. Finally got back to sleep and hubby came in at 7.00 with the words 'you going to work today?'
I replied 'yes, this afternoon' arghhhh
Jet lag should be on the rant thread - everyday
Have a lovely day all, it might just rain tomorrow
Good morning, I've had a lovely few days of no work and mostly gardening. Got quite a bit done in retrospect. I was initially disappointed that I hadn't done more, but I think my target was too high. I'm letting my self back in to work nice and slowly with just a shortish job. So today's gardening will be planting out melons and chillis. Maybe even sowing some more melons direct. And watering... And I must get around to weeding the carrots. Even Mr Snoop looked at one bed and said "What's in THERE?"
Reading back I see VC has replaced the 'pointy stick' with killer laser beam eyes
Jay, when Henry pup got a bit short sighted in his old age Mrs.BB found some solid (but soft) balls that were impregnated with vanilla, the scent made it a lot easier for him to find
