  • Good evening folks, in reference to Flos comment about Monty`s compost, the thing that struck me while I was watching was how course it looked, and when you think on it do we need to riddle our compost, with large seeds and potting on I use it as it comes out the bag, just breaking up the compacted stuff any solid lumps like wood or even stones go into the bottom of my baskets, I may riddle the compost for small seeds, thats providing I remember where I put the riddle,( I am not the tidiest of people) and when you think on how seeds grow in the wild no one riddles the soil.
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

            • I've rigged up a double layer of fleece tent in the green house and left toms out there. Got absolutely no room in doors. Too many seedlings still waiting to be potted up when they're big enough. Not to mention the new stuff I sowed today. Sowed two kafir lime seeds. Hope they germinate. There were 10 in the pack. Should I have sowed more?

The headlight thing is a con which garages can use to generate money for nothing. We have moved from our local garage for this very thing.

                • Good morning, was out in the greenhouse for a short time (had a fire on) reported some tomatoes, the seeds for these tomatoes came from a pack that my wife bought last Christmas they tasted nice so kept some seeds and now have some strong plants to try. I think they will be cordon as I can't see Bush tomatoes being cultivated for packing, so will wait and see. Well good night? to everyone plants are all covered with fleece. Goodnight t.v.

                    • Well - this could go one of two ways. I'll go for the 'grown up' stuff, I think, not the novelty route. So, we now have the extraordinary passion of Sam Brown...

I'm taking a radical shift to 'feelgood girlpower' whilst I finish the glass of, and put the house and all those in it to bed............

Oh - that mucking about this morning in the cold in my shorts and tee? Paid off, as it happens. . I ran a personal best. Now I do appreciate that the world won't change on it's axis because one middle-aged bird ran a random distance faster than she's done before; but it pleases me nonetheless.

                                Sleep tight, folks.
