We've never been away from here for 13 days before-it's normally 5-9 days.Tis going to seem strange...the cherry and pear blossoms are nearly out- I hope I don't completely miss them.
* wonders what take over plan the weeds have got in store for us!

So excited, friend and partner of OH last week decided to randomly invite themselves for 'early supper' (whatever that is ) tonight. They've cancelled ! Yippee . Mil only went home yesterday afternoon!
I'm heading into the garden to tackle that clay, the humongous weeds and try to relax . Well i suppose I will help OH working too

Good morning all, still cloudy, with a promise of sun later. Washing machine is on in readiness.
Popping into town to sort out the re arrangement of finances and buy a few more clothes for the upcoming Vegas trip.
Want to pop into the Charity shop as there are a few pairs of sandles and pumps that I may purchase. I get 20% discount off an already very reasonable price.

Got some tomatoes into their final buckets yesterday after work and moved some more out to the greenhouses this morning...

Feeling sad today. Its my mothers first birthdsy since she passed away in July.
Meeting my sisters to visit her grave this morning and then hopefully I will get some gardening done.

Bright but very breezy here today. Sighted a nightingale this morning, so it's not a blackbird that keeps us awake at night!
One dog wandered off to a neighbour's house last night (double betrayal as she usually sleeps outside a friend's place when he's here, as he is now), so she'll have to be collected. Otherwise, work and maybe some resowing of rotten courgette seeds and snail-trimmed brassicas.
First of my Sultan leeks have popped up. So what with the 43 Megatons (I've been counting them for weeks now, so the others I'd say aren't going to come to anything) plus the 20 JT will be buying for me at a nursery, I reckon I'm sorted for leeks for the winter.Comment
