Just need to get our lawns cut- managed about 1/2 of them yesterday- and then we can get stuck into our veg plots again!
It'll be a relief to get our spuds in- finally.
"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple
Well, my day started at 7.40 am with the newly-acquired 2yo waking screaming (stomach cramps, I think) and the 5yo waking at the same time covered in wee (he never wets the bed...)
We were still at school at 8.40am, having showered the 5yo, stripped his bed, started the laundry, and everyone clean, breakfasted, dressed and HAPPY.
Later I took the 2yo for a puddle-jumping-and-pea-stick-collecting walk.
Yay Nicos is back It's been a little bit quiet without you.
Had busy day. Went and got last of compost to finish the raised beds off finally. Now they're all ready for planting:
Think I'm going to opt for the lazy option of planting the veg through the fabric because I really don't enjoy weeding.
Also bought some 8 ft canes for runner beans which looked ridiculous as I'm a midget. At least I didn't knock anything off the shelves which is what one family member did when buying bamboo and sent the store owner's radio flying.
Oh and I finally see some movement on the strawberry seedlings. The sun is clearly helping
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.
Well my well planned day turned out very different. I won't be painting tomorrow either. Hope for Thursday instead.
