Feel a bit 'flat' today, maybe need a burst of sun. Pretty sick of this cold , cloud and the strong winds, more of that today
Will have dog walk, tidy , help OH working hen escape to greenhouse, I think I need some soil therapy.
Dogs pawing her impatience at nobody moving yet, better go walkies....

Bright and breezy here...
Threw some courgette and cucumber plants out to the greenhouse today for a spell outside...

All go at home as the workmen have started preparing for laying our asphalt driveway and doing some kerbing as part of it...

Morning all, dull this morning and I think it's to stay that way! BM, did Sal not say...she is off to Vegas , lucky old her, it's been a long time since we have been. Hope you have a great time Sal!

Supermarket day today. Can't do much potting on or anything as the weather is still too cold, hopefully that will change soon.

Another cold night but bright this morning. Tons of horrible work ahead but have decided to have a few days off next week after the rains so that I can at last get the tomatoes and the like out - forecast suggests night time temps should suddenly start rising to around 10 ºC.

Flower buds on my Dunluce and Arran Pilot first earlies. Planted out 20ish of March (must start a blog...), so that seems quite early. Might have a little furtle in a couple of weeks. I've got enough first earlies in to sacrifice a few to a plateful of marbles!

Flowers snoop?????...my spuds are still sat sitting in their egg boxes waiting to be planted
Our latest frost date so far has been 9 th June ....so no rush...my spuds seem to get zapped to the ground by frost every year.

Woke up to a lovely sunny morning, light frost and a cuckoo singing it's heart out.

Our neighbour planted a few hundred chestnut saplings in the field next to our house about 5 years ago and they are becoming well established already.
We've noticed a change in the birds coming to the feeders! ...lovely!

Looks like we have a few sunny days ahead and as tomorrow is a Bank Holiday here, OH has 4 days straight off work so we should get on top of the veg patches at long last!

It's a holiday haircut tomorrow before we go.
Flippin needs it, been driving me mad for the last few weeks
Packings more or less done, hubby is on a panic mission to Mats. No such worries for me ( I know where all the clothes shops are in Vegas lol)
I am also wearing clothes that you wouldn't be seen dead in, but are OK for pottering in house and garden. Not for public viewing, but so comfy

My hair was/is driving me mad too so last week I cut it Just grabbed handfuls at the back and chopped them off. Same on the front and sides but I could see what I was hacking there so not quite so random! I've no idea whether its even or not. Don't really care enough to worry what I look like

Being a Luddite this is new to me...has anyone else noticed that when you visit the T&M website they send you an email thanking you for your visit. Do they collect and match ISP addresses to emails they have on file?

Cold and gray, here. Doing boring tidying and cleaning ahead of visit by small horde of adoption social workers on Friday to check on the 2yo.

According to our experience, the collective noun for social workers should either be a Godsend or a Prevarication.
