      • Good to hear from you Lottie and nice that you've got some good carers there - they're worth their weight in gold. Hope you are getting some time to unwind as well.
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

We had a nice day here followed by a thunder and lightening storm this evening...

All greenhouses fixed up now and starting to get full.

It's windy but warm already and the sun is out and I have to go do a holiday cottage change over.
Big plans for the garden when I get home later.

                        • Mornin n'all n'all!

I think I may have overslept a tad!

Got 2 gite change overs to do today SP....
Couldn't be bothered yesterday!!!!! No rush fortunately.

OH found a clutch of about 20 eggs yesterday under the bunny hutches....did the float test - all fine, and the first one he opened was black inside ....ewwwww.
Behave sole cracked a few more open and they were perfectly fine.

Not a particularly nice way to start the day eh?

Hope everyone has a fun filled day!

Just back from my morning mooch around the garden - feeling happy Its raining but its warm rain.
The cheap daffs I planted late are flowering. Its like spring all over again! Wonder whether you can have daffs all year round by planting a few every month Remind me to try that next year!
                            Have a good day

                            • Morning all. Where did the weekend go?
Well have got the gas man coming today to do his annual checks. So have cleaned the cooker, made sure the boiler has nothing underneath, swept round the gas fire that we don't use( its one of those looks pretty but cost a fortune to light up) and made sure he can get to the gas meter. Oh and have also found out the paperwork for the boiler. I am so organised this morning I am amazed.
Very warm and muggy here already. Hope the rain keeps off for a bit longer.
                              Have a good day everyone

                              • Ha!....my late planted daffs have just finished flowering VC - this time last week they were looking fab!
The recent hot weather has suddenly burnt them off.
I imagine that would happen with successional planting????
                                No harm in trying though!

I need to start thinking about getting some red geraniums to replace them in the tubs . ( yep...I know...they are really pelargoniums , but I just can't get my head around calling them that...it's a bit like calling a rose a daisy in my mind!!)
