Well goodness, gracious me! Mr Snoop has been out with the Mantis and has sorted out some beds for me. So I shall go to the nursery tomorrow and get me some plants. I'd better get a list ready. Last year they even had sweet potato slips... Mustn't forget those.

Right - just putting my head round the door to make sure you're all in order, and I'm off to the Hill to plant out the broadies. Love these light evenings!

Just been back down the garden as I left my phone in the greenhouse. The barometer is showing 20deg and its 8.45 in the evening. Long may it last.

Temps are forecast to drop up here, and they don't appear to be due to get above 14 or so until the end of May, and mostly hovering around 10. When am I safely going to get my runners and curcurbits out?!?

Yep - I'll be doing the in-out dance with the runners, french beans and tommies for the next few days (or for how long I can be ar.... - er - bothered.

Edit - the potatoes poking their heads about the ridges at the Hill will just have to take their chance.

Left the tomatoes, peppers, etc. out last night. They're going into their permanent homes in a few days, so they'd better get used to it. I'm off to the nursery today and I know my toms will look healthier than theirs, but they'll just have to take their chances too.

I've got through my work and have decided to take gardening leave, literally. I'm going to have lots of fun. Mind you, I'll be doing battle with an army of thistles too, so that'll have me cursing. Am also thinking about starting off my sweetcorn and beans, but only thinking... The ground is probably still a bit cold after the rain.

Cooler feel this morning, the sun was shining but has disappeared amongst the cloud. More helping OH work wise and more garden related (weeding more dog daisies , nettles and that sticky weed which always reminds me of school days ..sticking it on folk ) and shrub moving /planting. I've a viburnum that's been in a big pot that needs to go in and I could make use of the pot for veg growing moving more yellow flag Iris that are taking over and montbretia which il use between us and neighbour .
