Sangria sounds just the ticket, ContainerGardener - pour me a glass as well will you
Hope your eyes get better soon VC. It's funny imagining a chicken wearing shades though you know which is now the vision I have of you. Not funny for you though - real pain in the rear I can imagine.
Hugs to you Susie. No wonder you feel blue today. These anniversaries of loved ones who've passed on can hit us real hard. I hope you can reflect more on good times and memories with your Dad and not think on the sad stuff too much. Tomorrow is another day and hopefully you will wake up and feel wonderful
Another lovely day weather wise. It was still 16 in the PT just a few moments ago and last of the sunlight was shining on it. So good to see all the growth coming on. Some things haven't worked (like my broccoli which has been a complete disaster!) but more things are working than not which is all I can hope for really. Have nice evening everyone.LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts - even the rude ones
I had cataract ops a few years ago and the laser treatment was to let more light through the back of the lens. I think its very common to need it after cataract surgery.
So far so good Back to the hosp in 3 weeks when they'll probably do the other eye

Feelin' grumpy tonight, and aching all over. Think I overdid at the weekend.
The plot's reached that annoying stage where you nearly have it all under control, but not quite near enough... and you've had enough of digging and weeding. Sighs.
Think I need to plan a day around the 2yo, and not my To Do List.
Although I will still selfishly require coffee. Lots of coffee.
G'night, lovelies.

I showed myself a red card and thought I had to spend my evening upstairs away from the commentary, but my eldest Golden Girl surprised me with a visit and I've spent a lovely two hours chatting with her in the dining room. Marvellous! Trouble is, it's still on (injury time I think). Oh well, a little pootle around the Vine will end my evening nicely. GoodnightGranny on the Game in Sheffield
