  • Awww she'll be chuffed to see it!

'Scuse absence. The 2yo's and my little trip to the hospital left the 5yo massively unsettled which was rough enough, but the he made some mischief which resulted in a flooded bathroom and utility.

There are no emoticons for that moment....

We're getting back on an even keel today, so I've been happily on the plot this morning pleasantly despairing of progress

    Have a good 'un.

      • Afternoon peeps...
We are basking in glorious sunshine here with it due to continue thru the Bank Holiday weekend next week and into next week too
        Happy Days I say....

Eldest daughter finished school for the year now and studying for her state exams in June.....Then when she is finished it's holiday time
        Where did the year go
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

        ...utterly nutterly

        • Artnoon All. Still baking here - and no sign of a cake on the horizon........
Just been mooching round the garden on the shady side instead of the sunny side. Really hot - or I'm just not used to it this year.
Dogs crashed out under chairs and bushes - I feel like joining them

          • Finished up (for now .....) planting rest of toms into final grow bags - potted on 4 x pretty purple chillies and they're staying in GH now, next to their big cousin Ancho and younger cousins, Twilight ....
There'd better not be any bickering overnight ........

Seem to have got way too many tom plants than I actually need, this year - some good looking plants an' all..!!

And my lovely old neighbor has very kindly planted up two big pots with some beautiful flowers, for me - with a promise of another two..!! Not such a random pressie as the cow muck he left for me last month!!!

            Rain started about 2.30.......

                  • Wow - I'm sure we must have had a month's rainfall in one day. It hasn't stopped raining at all. Runner beans seem fine as very well established but poor mangetout are clinging onto the netting for dear life in the horrendous wind. Worst bit is how cold it is and I'm so tempted to put the heating on which feels ridiculous when we are 1 day off June.

Shopping trip luckily largely indoors but daughter adopted yet another cuddly toy after giving her Nanny a sob story about the fact that the toy looked so sad and lonely on the shelf. How the heck can a toy look sad is beyond me - I didn't fall for that but sadly my mum did. Unfortunately quite a large teddy as well grrr. Good to see some lucky people have had sun today
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

I think you are 100% right to keep going with the plot, you need the escape it provides and as you stated Mr LD enjoyed the trip

                          Take care Lottie xx
