I hope the funeral isn't too hard on you, Deano, and that your brother gets a good send off. You will be very glad when this day is over and you will feel like you can move onwards and upwards. Thinking of you.

Looks like the weather might finally be improving starting this weekend. Temperatures are really going up and might get some sun at last! Been a long time coming. Going to do some gardening today if it stays dry so fingers crossed. Morning everyone

Howdy doody, guys. No watering to do this morning, as it all got done by my team of slaves last night. Brilliant. Best watering the onions have had since, ooh, the last time they did it. Only thing to do is water some seedlings in modules and to give the sweetcorn seeds that the chickens scratched up another little watering to help the roots survive the shock. It's all very well having a veg patch at home, but the animals are a proper nuisance!

I always feel the opposite, I think the sun coming out is a 'moving on' sign to brighter times. I always think it's nice when the sun comes out at a funeral, it makes me feel as if the person is being welcomed elsewhere.

I know that sounds a bit daft.

Happy birthday Toby dog, Olive was 6 the other day...perhaps a joint dog party.

Working this morning then onto more weeding of bed, adding compost and planting it back up, I've lots I need to pot on or plant up so that'l keep me busy.

I've noticed on a small calendula something keeps laying eggs? Yellow ones on underside of leaf. I keep taking them off but not sure what's doing it. It's only plug plant size.

Nothing munched found but did see the huge snail coming round the pond that I had lobbed into field. Its got a bashed she'll and It's now by the beck at the front, hope it stays there!

Hope all goes well for you Deano and enjoy your well deserved day on the plot!

It's another beautiful morning here again. Even although we are having such lovely weather my toms seem to be sulking and not growing, not sure what's going on. Sowed some peas yesterday and sorted out the strawberries...the darn cats had dug them up so I've replanted and netted so hopefully they will be ok.

Not much to do today except enjoy the sunshine...yay!
