Finally, made contact with the man, who asked for some Jerusalem Artichokes, they'll soon take over his plot!

Had time to catch the end of the market this morning in Falaise.
Beautiful place!

We're so far behind we decided to buy a few small plants.
Came away with butternut squash ( the lady selling them asked what do they taste like and how do you cook them!)
Cabbage, Savoy cabbage and red cabbage, celery and celeriac.

We've not even prepared the beds...so it's going to be a cardboard layer and compost and planting through method this year for the cabbages ( and our squash)
Never done this before so it'll be interesting to see how well it works!

Also came back with some oysters!

The day went "Swimmingley"

Had a full day on the plot today playing "Catch Up" Getting there slowly!

Thick head early doors, so must have got summat right, but texts from family n freinds saying what a brilliant service! Think it went well!

But now done! The plot takes presidency!

Just enjoying peanut butter and jam sandwiches which I've not had in years!

Off for a few cold ones n calling it a day!

Not sure what I've done today Potted up some perennials, must have done more than that in the garden!

Good evening,

Weeded some flower beds and sorted a few more beds out on the plot today. A guy next to my plot gave me some courgettes and sprout, very nice of him.

For the rest of the night I am going to relax

Great news, Deano, that it all went well. Now you can focus on your plot Nothing better than some gardening for the feel good factor.

OH has been away since last Saturday in Poland visiting his long lost relatives. So thrilled to get him back. It was not the same without him here. I shall sleep very well tonight - and I might even get breakfast in bed tomorrow if I'm lucky. Have a good evening all

Evening all. Glad to hear that the funeral went well Deano.
Well took kids to the park with their bikes this morning. Took Wills stabilisers off and he was a bit wobbly at first and I ran round the park like an idiot trying to keep him balanced. Sat down totally jiggered and the next thing I knew he sailed past me riding his bike all by himself. He fell off a couple of times but just got straight back on.

Well guys. I am absolutely cream cracker end tonight. Came to bed at 9.00 ( ridiculous for a Sat night) managed to pot up all my toms at last into their final pots 32 in all can get 20 in the green house the rest will have to take their chances outside. Finally planted up a load of flowers, and weeded all the beds. Still loads more tomorrow. We were meant to sit out and enjoy the late evening sunshine with the chiminea on I lasted half an hour. Hopefully will be recovered by tomorrow. Have a good night all

good evening Folks, so glad everything went well Deano, and if there's humor during a funeral, people attending the service will remember, longer, so well done. This has been an other nice day here, started off dull but the sun broke through and was fine and warm, have been busy over the last two or three days, attending grandchildrens sports day, I didnt enter the grandfathers race as it wasn't a handicap race, I was looking for something like a fifty yard start on a 70yd. dash, and anyway looking at some of the grandparents about here some look as if they are in their thirties, did manage to get a hair cut yesterday and now my wife, who has just run her hands through my hair (I will need to put a hand towel out) tells me that my hair is beginning to thin out, but as I have told her at my age, if its just thinning hair I am doing alright, well apart from needing glasses and a hearing aid oh and false teeth and false knees, and being a bit forgetful. I think I will wish you all a good night, I am off to bed before any thing else goes wrong or need replaced falls off, I was feeling good before starting this. Goodnight..

Evening
Sun got out eventually, but I pottered round the side of greenhouse in shade, potting on some strays I'd forgotten about from mums garden. More than I thought. Trying to clear area for brassica corner, although a tad sluggish .
Opened plastic store chest I keep pots in to have a wasp fly out, bvgger was starting to build a nest . Got the spray out and it took some killing I can tell you. Sorry non-killers but we get wasp nests more now a days. Hate them.

Evening all
I'm home . With my friends. I cooked tea while the other half ( Bobh ) gave them the guided tour. I think they quite like our little house and garden . They've gone to their B&B now but they will be back in the morning. Then I got the guided tour of my veggie garden. Wow everything has grown so much in the 4 days I've been away. Lots of things need tiring up tomorrow.

Morning all. Up early with Will who wants to go to the park again today. No one else is up yet so we are sat here watching Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom. Lucky me.
No idea what we are doing today. Meant to be warm here again.
