  • Morning all, its Sunny!

So I'm off to get more Environmesh from allotment shop, then up to plot, to try and sort the other side, that's like a jungle after all that rain last week!

    Enjoy your day.

    • Morning! No sun here yet but I'm confident it will appear later on.

I've decided today is barbecue day. I've been quite busy lately so I think me and the two 'kids' should just relax today with our new (very small!) Tesco boost barbecue. I've never actually done a bbq before, that was always my ex's job. Should be interesting if nothing else. How hard can it be?!

I'd offer you all a sausage but I did say the bbq was small.

      Have a good one.

      • Morning all, washing machines on and whoever has got the sun needs to send it this way, please.
Not a flippin sign of it yet
Builders buckets full of spuds were moving round my garden at alarming speed last night. Hubby is 'sorting' them out. Thank goodness they are numbered, I have written down varieties in which bucket and also taken pictures of said buckets without any spuds in.
Ha, won't get caught again. He does this every year.
They are growing fabulously, green and lush, with flowers on most of them
First lot of Washings ready to go out.
Have a great day, and if we don't get our sun back today, I'll be on here later asking why lol

Pleased you made it home SP.
Good luck with your spuds nanny, I was organised this yr and labeled my bags.
GG I'm sure BBQ will be fine , if all else fails finish off indoors and eat it outside
Lovely here again, il be pottering and potting. Think il plant some sunflowers, nasturtiums and empty planters for my sweet peas . I still have some potting on to do, maybe some tomatoes or maybe even get courgettes planted up. Need to check cane sitation..have I enough for all my climbers this yr, then more watering to do this morning with mil hovering as to why and I'm doing any of it (no interest at all in gardening) would rather sit watching tv.
              Have a good one .

                      Morning all else!

Just waiting on an ex work colleague to call, His Daughter moved into this neck of the woods & he wants to borrow a strimmer & a few other gardening implements to make a start on the garden.

Overcast but dry! Perfect digging weather! So "Hurry Up" Tony, I've got loads to do!

                              • Good morning. Bit of rain late last night. Followed by a bit of slaughtering on my winter veg patch. Starting to feel appalled at myself, but I'm not one for putting down pellets. Not with free ranging chickens about.

Anyway, nice round of the plot this morning. All looking jolly, apart from some of the cabbages and my French beans, which have lost their tops to snails. Need to start visiting the main veg patch down in the fields late at night it would seem...

Spotted yet another new insect for me, a cone head mantis (Empusa pennata). Amazing looking creature, positively prehistoric.

Friend cooking late lunch today, so I'm off duty in that respect. And Mr Snoop is doing the washing up. So a bit of digging followed by getting some work out of the way to get a head start on the week.

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday.
