    • We've got 48hrs max before we have to do something.
I know its best to stop his suffering but it's the guilt looking my daughter in the eye.
And he's so young.. You kind of want to give him a chance but then would you want to live with an open wound with a hope that it might heal..
Does he have the fight in him.. Will he be in pain.. It's impossible and I can't decide!

      • Difficult decision to make but I think you should take the vet's advice. They know best.

          • Talk to daughter and tell her the truth. Its hot now ,open wounds take a lot longer to heal and it might not work. Its all about learning. And yes it hurts. But she's got a little time with him. ((((HUGS))))

            • I took her with me to the vets!
Very proud, she held it together totally in the vets but then let it all out in the car on the way home.
She knew what we had to do for the best for him and that upset her.

She's ten and they're her pets so she had to be there to hear it from the vet.

              They'll be more tears..no doubt.

She said she really wants to be there.. I'm not entirely sure I could hold it together then!

                • Good evening Folks, started off dull today, so thought I would empty out about 12, pots and containers, remove all the bulbs and mix it all with another couple of bags of compost, started doing that and the sun came out, it finished up being very warm, 25c indoors with all door and windowed open, collected youngest grand son at 12.00 and the car had to be washed, its a thing we do every Wednesday if it's dry, and there was no way he was being talked out of it, once that was done he stayed in side in the shade while I got on with filling and planting containers, finally got finished about 9.0clock I am shattered, if this is how I feel now what's it going to be like when I get old?. Well I wish you all a good night, I am going for a shower then bed and NVG I wish my wife would do it that way, wait till the rain cleans the Windows so we can see out usually I get sent out to clean them if she thinks she sees dirt. Goodnight

it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

let her be there if you can...it will help her too ..to be there to the end...Responsibility. With pets will make her a great owner .

I knew it! They've been trying to trick me into believing that I'll miss them - I won't miss picking up dirty boxer shorts, washing rugby kit, sitting in the car when one or t'other has a bout of wind or putting up with the pair bickering non stop!

....but I will savour tonight after OH's race all of us sat outside this evening in the garden, around the table under the umbrella while it poured down! Little things

If I plan today right I should get a couple of hours in the garden. Somewhere between cleaning the kitchen, making brownies and entertaining visitors.
                              Have a good day everyone
