We've just had our first thunder storm in ages the water was gushing down our road, garden looks nice and fresh now and its filled the water butts..

Yes - it's raining! Lashing it down. Now all I need is for it to be raining at the allotment site as well ... it's 3 miles up the road. What are the chances?Comment

Good evening,
Soon as I got my parcel I was straight down to the allotment to plant them. As I got there, some of the plot holders had left me some things to plant. They gave me tomato plants, courgette plants, onions and lettuce. How nice of them. Don't worry Lottie, they will all get eaten what you sent me. I love tomatoes, leeks and onions. I use them all the time in cooking. Can never have to many.
OH is happy, just bought him a new fish tank for his birthday next week. Take away for tea tonight to end the nice day we have had(even though it's been raining)CarrieComment

well I got DRENCHED going to work this morning, then its been sunnyish all day, then poured it down again at home time. Driving home was a nightmare as the ring road is totally flooded and STILL my water butt is empty. I swear its broken!Comment

Evening
Temps have dropped down to 14 brrrr was very humid and heavy today, few spots of rain but that's all, I didn't water as the forecast was for rain
will have to wait til tomo.
I've just had a hayfever tab as feel it's starting, there's a lot of wild grass seed heads about and they are on with silage at the moment (sets me off) .Northern England.Comment

Good evening Folks, Cg am I too late for a drink? and Nicos you shourly don't think that I have the money to pay for any thing let alone a garage bill, and my car boot is like my pockets--empty.
It has been a dull day here today, and not quite as warm, no rain though, OH decided we needed to do some shopping, so did not get any work done this morning but while out I bought a new hose, and once the grandchildren went home I decided I would change the hose over, I have a wall mounted hose reel, which when installed several years ago, all the screws were greased, but what a bother I had to open it up, it is now lying outside in bits, I just hope I remember where everything goes.Well I wish you all a good night, enjoy your weekend, my wife has decided I am taking her out for afternoon tea tomorrow, I am beginning to feel withdrawal symptoms starting again, if you lift money once they start to look for it again. Goodnightit may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

But....I do want to cut some hazel from our Woodyard hedge and shred it for mulch....just need to see if OH can come and help me!
