A few spots of rain here but nothing to write home about, shopping today

Dry at the moment - everywhere smells fresh after all the rain - buckets filling nicely..!!
A balmy 17.5c in GH - and on inspection of beds, plenty of slug damage to report .......
Just putting kettle on before the struggle of waking young son up for school .......

Morning all..

Rained overnight here, so wait and see what weather the day brings...
Must start thinking about what I may or may not need to get for holidays -I might have said I am going on hols next weekend - a good book or 2 is a definite requirement.

Got a good bit done yesterday including the merging of two beds into one with stepping stones added and some nice flowers to add a touch of colour.
Planted out PSB, cabbage, cauliflower, beans, sweetcorn, spring onions and kale into said bed...

Morning all, just waved my no#1 son off to school for his last AS exam. After years of trying to get him to revise it suddenly kicked in over the last few weeks! He looks shattered, I just hope he can keep it going for one more year so he can get some decent results for the A Levels. He thinks he knows what he wants to do when he finishes and has an end goal. Fingers crossed he see's some decent results this year or it going to put him off for ever!

Tis usually when they get moved to a new field with their calves. p

Or some of them get separated or one dies.

Wet and grey here..I whinged about the heat but I would like it a little bit sunny

Morning all - up early as usual on a Monday in preparation for grand-daughter duty; out of the shower and drinking first coffee when son texts - he is unwell, not going to work, he won't be bringing her over. I'm up, dressed, wide awake at 7.00 am ... now what? It is overcast but not actually raining. We had loads yesterday, rained on and off most of the day. So everything is well soaked.

I have jobs I can do; the question is ... do I feel like it? I will go to the plot to water the glass-shed. I could tidy out my shed-shed - all my bits are just 'stuffed' in there higgledy piggledy.
No, she said suddenly resolved. First I shall defrost the chest freezer. Have a good day everyone, even if it is Monday.

Juggling between house and garden today (mostly garden).
Going to feed my tomatoes, chilli's, pumpkins, squash, courgettes & flower tubs now.

Munch inspection duty reported a giant snail on my runner pot, now removed !
Rain in the night so all well watered, more rain due for the day. We didn't get the wet day yesterday, seems it's coming today instead. Will earth up spuds at some point.
Mum has Consultant appt with dad this afty so I'm taking them, that'l wipe afternoon out, never mind.
This morning other than dog walk I'm not sure, depends on the rain. Might nip to gretna outlet village, might not .

Joy of Joys rain today and forecast for the next four days..... and Wimbledon has not even started yet as it's bound to rain during and least half of that as well.

Morning,

Raining here. Been to the allotment this morning. Noticed some slug has been eating my sprouts and courgettes. Looked under all the leaves and can't find nothing.

Gave everything in the greenhouse a good watering. Once it stops raining I can put out the onions and leeks.

Not sure what I am going to do for rest of the day. May just relax and try and finish my book I am reading.

Morning all! It's not raining here at the moment so I'm wondering if I ought to go down to the allotment. I saw yesterday afternoon that a load of chippings had been dumped by the gate, so if I get my @rse in gear I can refresh all my paths.

Trouble is I'm in one of those listless moods, probably because there's no sunshine and it's going to rain in a bit.

Wet, miserable and cold. Even had to put the fire on this morning. If that's Summer over I shall cry. Loudly. As in tantrum loudly.

I woke up this morning to see a space and the thought that someone had nicked one of my better plantpots (with flowers). I forgot I had moved it a few days ago. I found it after ranting loudly about how folk have no respect etc etc etc.

Anyway, just popped in to say hi. I'm spending the day ironing whilst watching films on tv and I shall probably be anti-social and hermit like. I'm feeling the cold today so I wont be venturing past the kettle and I certainly wont be gardening. It's a bit frustrating though as I still had things I needed to do out there.
