Morning all
Cloudy and quite breezy here , tried Vaseline on bean tubs last night and no more munchings to see today. May be a fluke of course
Taking mum to collect her courtesy car, I really hope it's small as she is used to small. Then will get her some shopping and de-stress her while brother minds dad at home. No point taking dad , it's cool , he would have insisted on winter coat, gloves etc, moan it's freezing, mum getting stressed .
Then back to hers and sort her canes in tom plants, remove some foliage and a sort out in GH for more room.
Food shop on way home and some more compost, potatoes have gone mad, only earthed them the other day and they need done again.
Best finish this coffee and crack on...have a great day everyone with meetings, gardening , hairdressing and whatever else
Had a bit of a hectic day yesterday...hence the late start for me!
Managed to fit in a swim...and yippee....the outdoor pool/ play area was open so we had our first outdoor swim of the year
Bit chilly but lovely to swim in the fresh air again.
Had to take my car back in as it's been faulty ever since I brought it home...fingers crossed it'll be free eh?...should be ready later this morning....apparently.
30 miles round trip
Brill thing was though they'd given the outside a shampoo and set

Good morning all. A dull grey and windy morning here. Doesnt look a bit like summer.
My alarm was still set on spanish time so I was up before I realised it.
Waiting for the weather to decide before I plan my day.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
Chilly night but a bright start to the day, so everything is already warming up. No need to water after yesterday's mammoth session with Mr Snoop's help. The cabbages seem to grow overnight after a dousing like that.
Hoping to get some toms tied up tonight. Even if I can't do all of them, I've got to make a start.
Morning another dull wet day here
Just done a check and the chard I planted out yesterday is still there and the 3 organic slug pellets around each plant have been eaten.
Morning everyone, it's wet, wet, wet here this morning! Not much on the cards today, housework and ironing unfortunately. off to get a cuppa first though if anyone wants to join me.
Have a great day everyone, hope the weather is better where you are.
Just sat down to my 4 th cuppa of the day Jay.....* pulls up a chair....
Today I'm really happy...OH has managed to rearrange his day so he'll be home all day.
Means we can go and fetch my car...and we can get stuck into the gardening.
We've got loads of home made trellis work we made about 3 years ago made out of Hazel which has given up the ghost ...so we need to make new ones....and to some shredding for mulching.
Looks like it's going to be a fun day, playing with chain saws, shredders etc

Drat and double drat - met the parks manager and half way through the allotment plot review the heavens opened up! Came home drenched and didn't manage to get slug pellets around the newly planted beetroot plants from the greenhouse.

A day in for me, catching up on housework, washing and sorting out food for a long shift at work tomorrow. I went to the lottie yesterday to water my plants inside. Manage to plant out onion and leeks. Some plot holders had left me more tomatoes, cucumbers and rainbow chard. Very nice of them. They was even saying they will get a few people together and help me out on the plot to get rid of the weeds. So can get it done much quicker. They really are a nice lot.
Anyway I best move and sort the washing out, wont do it on its own :/

Yep, it's all on grass so take wellies, they do have tractors in case cars get stuck in the parking fields, Mrs.BB commented last time we went that it was good to go to an event that was well catered for regarding ladies loo's & the resulting shorter que's
It's quite big & is a good day out, there is normally entertainment in the middle of the seating area near all the food & drink stalls/trailers.

Forecast dry here til 5pm. You've guessed it, it's been raining since 9. Not even drizzle proper rain bouncing off the patio. Off to the opticians shortly then I was hoping to get to the plot but that looks a wash out. Trouble is tomorrow is looking worse!
