  • Just been out to see hubby, still lots of water. It's coming in from next door, so we get their water as well.
There used to be 3 giant trees at the back of their house that fell down one windy night two years ago.
I wonder if the lack of tree roots has caused all this water not draining
    What do you guys think?

    • Good evening Folks, it has been a dull muggy sort of day today and a constant slever in the wind, not enough to wet you but just enough to let you know not to go without a jacket, was child free this morning so dragged round shopping, and when I showed any impatience was told you want to eat dont you, still trying to work out if that was required information about where some of our food comes from, or a warning to be quiet if I want to eat. Well I wish you all a good night, I hope you all keep well, I am off to think on whither I should tell her, I dont eat clothes etc. which she was looking at at the time of the above comment. Goodnight

Is that true? OH reckons that his hour and 45 minute bike ride at lunchtimes burn 1300 calories! Is he telling tales? Wishful thinking?

                • Morning all. Well I have been up since 5.30 with a very excited 8 year old who hasn't stopped talking about her school trip since Monday.
Interview day today as well. That's this afternoon so it gives me chance to get my act together and try to smarten my self up. Probably wont recognise me as they usually see me passing in my allotment clothes.
Raining here yet again. Hope it dries up soon or the weeds down the allotment will be going mad.
Hope its a bit drier for you as well NS.

It's windy and not very flipping warm today (my poor plants).
Working today, planting my last 3 trays of plug plants in a rockery.

                      • A Good Morning to All.

It's not really cold, but grey, damp and un June-like .......

Everywhere looks soggy and the slug trails are just everywhere - although I've only seen one blighter this morning ..... crafty, very crafty.....

Anyway, time for cuppa number 2, kettles on if anyone's got the time.....

                        Have a good Friday all.

                          • Coffee please Susie

                            Good luck NVG.

NS , we get a lot of water (some from neighbour as our plot was theirs and had land drains through both.
We have plenty tress but a field and a forest slopes down to us towards to beck/road.
We had to put drainage into lawn at two places which feeds round the house to run away to the beck.
                            Could you add drainage ?

                            Morning

                              • Morning all!

Woken up at 7am this morning by the doorbell ... new fridge being delivered. A bit excessive, I thought!

Doesn't look like it's going to be a very nice day, but I need to get down the plot at some point, pick any strawberries the slugs have left me and renew the pellets.

Hope the interview goes well, NVG. Have a good day, everyone!
