      • Yep, with you on that one Noviceveggrower. I don't have grand-daughter today and was hoping to get some lawn-mowing done; she hates the sound of the lawnmower. Not going to happen. So, will have to find something else profitable to do! Have a good day, however you spend it.

        • Good mornig all. It was wet earlier this morning but the sun is out now and it looks promising.
Back to my walking routine today after putting on a few pounds while on holiday.

          • Good morning,

Raining here. I rather be back in bed right now, but I have things to do before work this afternoon. So I need plenty of coffee to wake me up.

            Have a good day.

            • Good day to you all, showers here today, and Jay that the advantage of being young, no time table, you get up when you want, the washing has been in and out twice, I had to move from the conservatory watching OH going out and in was exhausting. Bought a camping shower this morning it will do for auto feeder in the greenhouse. Enjoy the rest of the day Folks will see you later :

              • Mr Snoop did more of the watering than I did today. He's starting to complain about the thistles, especially the ones in among the sweet potatoes. I've been avoiding doing anything that might disturbe them (the sweet potatoes, that is), as they looked so feeble early on. Might be time to buy him a trowel or some fancy deep weed pulling device.

Anyway, here's wishing you all a jolly day.

                • Afternoon all!

It rained all morning. This summer weather is making me grumpy and ratty. It did stop for a few minutes half an hour ago, so I went outside and stomped on a couple of dozen snails that had ventured onto the paths and patio. That made me feel briefly more optimistic, then the rain started again.

It seems to be brightening up now, I might be able to get out to the allotment to refresh slug pellets in a bit.

                  • Just wanted to share my lovely bit of news with you all (makes a change from my usual 'tales of woe' .....)

Well, big son ( who recently bought a house together with future DIL...) have set the date and booked the venue for THE BIG DAY!!!!! (January 2017!!)

Future DIL (bless her ) went out next day trying on wedding dresses - and bought one, there and then!!
She sent me a pic and she looked so beautiful, like a princess (I'm welling up again... )

So, I have two lovely weddings to look forward to now .... Big bro is also getting hitched ('bout time too, been together 20 odd years...!!) in October .......

                    • Brilliant news Susie, exciting times coming up! I loved the period leading up to my daughters wedding and of course the big day but the lead up was the exciting part. Good luck to your son and future daughter in law, wishing them every happiness for the future!

                      • Great news for you Susie How lovely.

It's ages since I've been to a wedding, possibly the last one was my own 14 years ago. My brother is getting married this year but is off to Gretna Green so no-one is invited except the future bride ha ha

Rained all day today. I made the mistake of thinking that I'd leave the tunnel shut up because it was raining, then opened it up late this afternoon when the sun made a show and it was 37 and steamy in there. Oh dear so probably fried everything! Oops. Oh well.

Picked my first cucumber so that was good. Have a good evening all

                        • Good evening everyone!

I'm having a few problems uploading pics.. I only recently switched to chrome on my phone, and realised that it works with the vine attachment upload thingy where my 'internet' app didn't.

I have 8 uploads and now when I try to upload another I get ' task not performed due to insufficient space'

Is this a vine issue or an issue with my phone, I have 1/2 GB free space on the phone..?
But I also cant see anywhere to delete the uploads I have on the upload manager, although they are all used..
                          Help!?

                          • I think it's a Vine thing, I'm sure you can only load a certain amount of pics at once
If I'm right, I will be well impressed, I'm a technophobe

Although, I've only uploaded one today, the others were over the last week or two!?

                              I'm stumped..
