  • Evening all.
Congrats sent to you and your family SusieG on your son and future DIL on setting the date of the wedding
I have spent the day working on my job application. I have got the one job but need to fill in another form for the second job. So that can be handed in tomorrow.
Well they have said tomorrow will be dry so going to the allotment to see how much of the allotment the bindweed has taken over.
    Have a good evening everyone

I hate to say it but do they realise it will be packed with tourists. They will have plenty of uninvited guests with them.
I wanted to elope and get married in Las Vegas and have some wedding pics with an Elvis impersonator in them.

        • Evening all! The rain stopped and the sun came out, so I went to the allotment and sorted out the sweet peas and chrysanths. That put me in a good mood ready for the football.

          Congrats to Susie and family:

          Sweet peas looking good now...

As for me recone my system is starting to catch up with me after being on higher alert for the last few weeks,am needing lots more sleep,we went down the lottie yesterday, that was good, had chats with others, coffee and i got a satisfying amount off weeding and long grass cut,the poor mower has coped well, lots more to be done, next time we go i will try the new strimmer down there on some of the lighter areas,Saturday we went to the Watermead park near to us,not been for a while, looking so much nicer, the wooly mammoth is still there,i remember it being erected,if i could get the wheelchair into the car i would take MR for a long walk with a light pic nic,he can only walk a short way with the 4 wheeler with seat and at a slow pace.

                    • Good evening Folks, I feel shattered tonight, we have had the grandchildren from 7.0 and the youngest is still not at school, so had him all day, wasn't to bad, some drawing a game of hide and seek, then a walk, after that he wanted to wash the car which I told him no, he then went in the huff, you have got to be firm with the children, once the car was washed I had to go and collect the other three from school, and the second oldest wants to practice boxing, wasn't pleased when I gave him a fish box and some plants to plant into it, however he was quite happy once he got started. Well I wish you all a good night, and best wishes to those Grapes with happy things to look forward to, but wait and see how time slows down, then suddenly speeds up, dont get into to big a panic. Goodnight

                          • Morning ladies, ditto from me
I cheated and changed the beds last night, so I have a head start. With all this rain you have to box clever with the washing.
Work this morning, the Spanish volunteer goes home every summer, so today I will be 'Olivia'
The Italian one is on her hols as well, so I could also be 'Elena' one if these days
No flippin wonder I get confused
Gardening related, I am about to pick the biggest strawberry ever - will post a pic later
Have a lovely day you lot

                            • Have a good day, SusieG. No time today to look back at previous pages of posts, so apologies for not responding to others. Work, work, work calls. Mr Snoop did all the watering today. My sole contribution was to dispose of a few more snails, sprinkle a bit of fertiliser about the place and count the parsnip seedlings. Now 15, so one down. Probably the snails... The parsnips might be down, but the thistles are definitely up.

Have a good day, one and all.

                              • Good morning girls, not so nice here looks as if we could have rain, watered all my baskets and noted that some of the leaves are showing temperature damage, so it must have been cold overnight in the past two or three days, have to go get the grand children ready for school, enjoy your day.
