Good morning, just a quick look to see who is about, and thanks Cg. I did sleep well, need to go and water greenhouse and my baskets before the tornadoes descend may see you later
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
Member of the Nutters Club but I think I am just there to make up the numbers
Morning all, up early due to rain
Kept waking up in the night to the sound of torrential rain, thunder and all that. All of this is compounded by the houses either side having a conservatory roof or even worse, faulty guttering arghh
From what I can see from the bedroom window, flood defences have held, so that's good
Hubby visited a local GC yesterday to look at turf for the garden project and was so impressed, asked me if I would like to go today. In the rain .....
So, might be an ok day after all
Have a good one, kettles on
Morning all. Well its dry here thankfully for a change. Going to allotment to go and carry on the fight against the bindweed. It is everywhere.
I'll have a cuppa please NS
Have a good day everyone
Tea on the way NVG, actually been outside now and the bottom half of the garden is either under water or like a bog, my new flowers have taken a right hammering. All veg crops ok
Morning if tea is on offer - yes please!!
Hope grandkids don't wear you out - too much, Rary!
It's warm and overcast here so far .... hoping to get out and do more weeding ... Jobs in GH - sweet peppers need potting on ... tubs of cut'n'come again salad leaves need emptying, don't think there's going to be any more coming through - must sow more ...
Oh, this morning about somethingto5o'clock ... a loud 'bang' on bedroom window (it's a bungalow) - after settling my poor thumping heart, went out to see what was what .... a poor fluffy young baby bird had flown straight into the window, it was dead ... looked like a young bullfinch ... it's mummy will be sadly wondering where it's gone ....

Morning all
It has the potential to be a nice day. I can see blue sky and it's not windy. I'm going to play in my garden today.
Have a good day everyone
Feeling conned this morning. Woke up at 5am to see bright sunshine streaming in the window, dozed off again and woke up at 7ish to see dull skies again. Someone's having a laugh.
Susie we had terrible bird problems in our old house with kamakazi birds. I think they saw the tree opposite reflected in the window and thought they could land there. I ended up hanging several window ornament things on the window to try to discourage them.
Morning all, beautiful morning here's hoping it lasts the day! Going to give the shed and fences that can be seen a quick going over with fence paint, in between domestic duties.
Hope those grandchildren don't tire you out too much rary!
Have a lovely day everyone.
We had an absolutely brill thunder and lightning storm about 4am here too NS!
Absolutely fantastic
Lay awake for an hour or so just watching the sheet lightning and rumbling.
Even Hibou sat watching it out of the window!!!
We had to unplug the router and OH was running about half starkers bringing in the parasols ....came in sopping wet doing a superb immitation of Mr Darcy
"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple
GH watered early, walk done ..resulting in first horsefly bite of the yr, bluddy 'orrible things !
Work related stuff first zzzzz, then we will nip out for some supplies, fridge looking trifle bare, customers popping in tonight so grab a dog walk before that and some garden time , obviously.
Have a good day
Hope everyone is doing well. We've had another rubbish weather week so far and lots of rain. Plus side not needed to water outside but downside gardening in wet isn't fun.
Mangetout is ready to pick today so I'm excited about that. Had a few more strawberries. Summer squash is suddenly getting a growth spurt on.
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.
