Oh...forgot to say that I popped into L!dl on Saturday with my OH to look for some solar lights.
Each Wednesday for the past 18 months they give me between 6 and 8 black flower buckets, but they were really busy last Wednesday so I didn't ask.
They came running up to me calling "Madame Seau"... We have some buckets for you!
Yup...that's what they call me in there....Mrs Bucket....
...and so, I introduced them to Monsieur Seau.....and yep, we all had a chuckle.
And funnily enough, it's roughly pronounce as 'sow/ sew'...quite appropriate as I sow seeds and sew felt decorations !"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple

Morning all
Thank you all for being lovely caring people. Grandad is doing much better, got my last phone call from the home just after midnight and things were improving greatly so I don't have to go to Rhyl earlier than planned . And I managed to get 6 hours unbroken sleep ( this sleeping all night lark is becoming a rare thing ). And it's not raining yet. Everything is good. I'm going to play in my tunnels today.
Have a good day everyone

A good morning to all
Hope everybody's doing ok .....
Sun is out (!!?) but it's sooo wet over the fields - takes ages to peel off all waterproof gear then to dry big old Toby dog ..... Ah well, Summer's coming .........!

Morning all, woke up to a wet outlook, hope that's going to improve later.
Off to Luds today as they allegedly will have some perennials that I may want, as well as the cupboards are bare.
Work this afternoon, so no gardening here.
I have got my first EVER onions drying off, just two for now. Plenty more to follow.
Have a great day everyoneNannys make memories

Happy to hear your grandad is doing much better SP. That's good news.
Been up early and picked some mangetout - found some I'd missed and they'd grown a bit humongous. I find it ever so hard to see them between all the foliage and the runner beans as well. Maybe next year I should look for some that are a different colour to green to make it easier to spot what's there to pick.
Looks very cloudy so far. Luckily I did all my seed sowing yesterday and a load of gardening so today may be an indoor day. Have a good day allLOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

Afternoon all!
That's it now, the Royal Visit is over. I've taken mother back to Euston and seen her safely onto the right coach of the train back oop north.
Deep breath, let it out slowly.
Now I can get back to gardening. It was wet last night and early this morning but the sun is out now. I'll go out into the garden for a spot of dead-heading and slug-pelleting shortly. I'd like to hoe off the chickweed seedlings but then we're bound to have a shower. I'll wait for a fine day to do that, I think. I'll use the time saved to catch up on the forum properly.
Have a nice day, all!
