Raining this afternoon. Went out and collected some raspberries and then strawbs which were looking deliciously red...something has beaten me to them, full of holes. Grrr!!!

Good evening,

Just got back from the allotment. Got caught in the rain. I decided to dig a bed up in the big greenhouse and plant my tomatoes in there. Just need to do the other half of it tomorrow.
I went into the smaller greenhouse and it's covered in ant. Going to leave that greenhouse until I can get rid of the them.
OH weeded the raspberry bed. One of the guys at the allotment is going to come on one day when it's dry weather and use industrial weed killer to try and get rid of the weeds and horse tail. And then they will put plastic down for me. Nice of them.
Another plot holder gave me some garlic she harvested today.

Got the drying onions in before the heavens opened, got six now, all red onions at the moment.
How much drying do they need?
We had a fairly nice day in fact, mainly sunny/cloudy, still a bit humid
Did my shift as the Spanish volunteer this morning, tired me out I don't mind saying. That's 4 shifts since Friday.
Just cooked myself a perfect poached egg on toast for my tea, hubby got to finish off the well done roast beef.
I may go on cooking strike tomorrow ......

Well it didn't rain all day, but I still managed to spend most of it pointlessly arguing with people on Facebook. As a result I'm feeling a bit out of sorts now.

I did do a bit of watering, feeding and tying up in the greenhouse though. I'll have some cucumbers soon, they've stopped dropping off and started swelling now, so that's good.

Maybe I'll find some energy to do more tomorrow before it rains again.

Hopefully the rest of you are being a bit more productive! Have a nice evening anyway.

Off to Dunstable for a few days in the morning, which actually means getting up even more earlier than normal!

Need to nip in the plot n water before I depart! Mmmmmm! Watering in the dark maybe!

But to be honest, be glad of a few days out of the "Rat Race"

Darn...it rained overnight....I'd wanted to cut the lawns before lunch.
Big field won't dry in time ( yeh ....just want to play on the tractor again! )

Helping with house move again today.
Said friend has 3 weeks to move contents from one house to another so it's little by little with a chance to do a spring clean

Feeling chuffed with myself today...managed to iron 5 sets of bedding to perfection in one day!...Good ol' Time team was there for moral support for part of it
Funny how we all have jobs we really, really hate or love doing isn't it?
Nice feeling though now it's done!

Hope to turn my hand to weeding again if I can't mow....they're appearing as if by magic...pity we can't train the snugs to prefer the flavour of those

Am about to head off to do some watering. Mr Snoop has already started. Everything in the ground is growing well but I'm way behind with other things. Feel like I'm fiddling (around) while Rome burns. Anyway, the sooner I get started, the sooner I can move on to other things!

Forgot to say - the bean plants arrived - very healthy looking specimens and they were cheap too. I put them in last night in the pouring rain and used about a pound of slug pellets in a bid to protect them from the snugs. Fingers crossed. It started out sunny here this morning, but it's now dull and looking like rain. The new Helipad at work opens officially today - only found out from Look North on the telly this morning!

Morning all. Missing my plants and my garden pottering today. My neighbour was going to keep an eye on them and I set up several self watering affairs with the help of Ikea Trofast boxes so I hope they are surviving. I brought my 4 courgette plants with me so I know they are ok.

Today's duties involve helping with a shed sort out and probably another trip to the dump. Hopefully it wont rain.

Morning all. Very wet outside and more rain predicted later. Nice and warm in the polytunnels though

Off to the garden centre today for a coffee and will check out the discounted plants. I got a lovely dianthus for a £1 last week. Never know what you'll find.

I am off to the allotment, need to finish off the other half of the bed in the big greenhouse. It's raining here to, says it's going to be raining to at least 6pm tonight. No really bothered tho as I will be inside the greenhouse doing jobs.
