Goodnight

            WHAT-O, peeps!!

It's late, I am back from the pub, and I have a piece of string in my hand . Let me check what's been going on, and if BB has left me something to tie it on to.

*note to self - use string which doesn't last until birdsong - there is something *wrong* about going to bed when it is already getting light...

              • Well, I see that BB has let me loose on my own tonight

So, not only was my car valeted today (as part of the eyewateringly expensive main dealer service), but tomorrow I will be spring cleaning, so let's start with something topical ....

                Tap your toes, peeps!

                • Well, anything 'cleaning' orientated on yt seems to be geared to 'how to' rather than 'a good song to go along to'. (btw, be a bit careful with your seach on 'car wash' - I nearly posted something decidedly XXXXX Rated on here by mistake

So it is a case of make your own entertainment from here on in. Well. Rose Royce is a great start, so now we can go with Donna Summer...

I had a similar dress tho the one she wears her (minus the deep v back, and in a more sober blue poly/cotton print, rather than the sparkly white number that Ms Summers wears - but you get the idea. I was clearly a style icon in the early eighties - ha ha ha!!

                  *wipes eyes

                  As you were.

                  • I was just leaving the disco/'80's theme when I was mugged by this spot-on number from Kool and the Gang - tracks of my years 'n' all that.

                    Just brill.

                    • Sorry - I did say I was going to leave this alone, but I'm a sucker for identically dressed and choreographed men - 'specially when a number of them are big fellahs who look distinctly uncomfortable, and least one of them looks like he will expire before the end of the set.

                      Keep tapping those feet, peeps!

                      • I'm shaking off the identically dressed and choreographed chaps (see Chi Lites/Detroit Emeralds/Trammps etc) before I wallow in Showaddywaddy hits for the rest of the night! Just a mo, and let's see where the last bits 'n' bobs of the evening get us.....

                        • As a change of direction, and on a topical note, I should put up 'Land of my Fathers' in tribute to Wales' brilliant performance tonight in the Euros, however, it is (to my English and no doubt philistine mind) not 'alf as stirring as Bread of Heaven.

Or is this a faux pas, and this is reserved for the big fellas with the funny shaped balls?

                          It's a good rib-rattler nonetheless.

                          • And on that wizard Welsh result, I'll wind the string in and bow out with another Welsh anthem.

And why not. So well done, Wales footballers. Punching above your weight with determination!

I know that we can all have a bad day at the office, but it's a shame that all eleven of our England chaps had this simultaneously on Monday. Hey-ho - the world doesn't stop turning on the strength of a sporting fixture result (just as well, perhaps!).And with that, the house slumbers, and me with it (marching very quietly).

                            Nos da. folks.

                            • Early morning all thanks for the entertainment, Hazel!

Is it wrong that my first thoughts on waking are of the garden! Just checked the weather report and hoping for a fine morning at least to get outside. Fingers crossed.

Well done Wales who managed to get great results despite being paid an awful lot less than the England team.
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

                              • Mornin Marie n'all!

Don't tell me you've been out gardening in yr nightie again Marie?
Hope you got back to sleep?

Hibou cat is running about in glee cos the dog is no longer here. Nice change , but still wouldn't want one on a permanent basis.....I'm deffo a cat person.

We finally have a broody sitting on ...I think...11 eggs.
Lost count cos we were faffing around putting more under her as they were being laid yesterday.

Still, fingers crossed some at least are fertile. ( we certainly don't need 11 more hens!... But could cope in the highly unlikely event )

Didn't get time to make chutney yesterday....got to do it today now cos all the fruit is defrosted!... So that will probably the lunchtime job after the cleaning/ ironing sesh.

Looks like we might get some gardening in too later!

What you all up to this weekend....anything exciting?

                                Kettle's on...help yrselves.....
